If we had to ask you about hockey, you would probably say that is a game for jocks. We do see some hockey here and there on TV and we normally associate the game with either Ivy League University programs, or with a sport that is mainly practised in North American countries. Well the fun thing is that if you want to learn how to bet on hockey, you need to learn about all the hockey variants out there. And to be fair, you will be humbly surprised by all the revelations we have for you about the art of hockey. So let’s delve into some variants to help you learn some trick on how to win when betting on hockey.
Underwater Hockey
Well, this caught us all by surprise. We are all accustomed to ice-hockey, so you should see our face after reading about the underwater offering. Whilst the on the ice version requires you to act fact, be agile and move swiftly, the underwater hockey needs you to have some extraordinary holding your breath skills. Imagine, you are about to score a goal underwater, and you quickly need that breeze of fresh air to fill your lungs. To be fair the game only lasts for 2 sets of 15 minutes each. The game allows you to have 4 substitutes during the game and also does not allow any contact in between players.
Ringette
Albeit the sport being over 50 years old, it is not such a popular form of the hockey game. The game was developed for the female population, but nowadays it is also enjoyed by males. It is not very different from the ice hockey we all know about in fact, it is also played and enjoyed on an ice rink. The only difference from Ringette to Ice Hockey is that in Ringette a straight stick is used to throw around a rubber ring. Also Ringette requires its players to have faster moves and also better skating abilities.
Rossall Hockey
If you try and find anything related to Rossall Hockey, probability is that the info out there would be limited. The sport was practised exclusively at the Rossall School in the early 19th Century, and is not a sport that you would have or will ever see on TV. The game takes place normally on a beach and involves both boys and girls that face off. Here you can tackle the game, but if the ball happens to be more than 3 meters away from you, this will result in a penalty for the other team.
Uncycle Hockey
This form of hockey is quite morid and intriguing at the same time. During this hockey game, 2 players play against one another in a cutthroat game that is very similar to the current unicycle hockey. This variant was first introduced in a 1950s game, and quite frankly is rough to say the least. If there is a skill that you need for this game it is balance and equilibrium, and if you have none of these, the sport is not for you. The tradition of the game continues with the first teams emerging in the 1980s in Europe. Championships are held every two years. Signing up or betting on it anyone?
If you ever want to learn more about hockey, the sport is quite interesting to learn, watch videos and bet on. The only downside here, is that if you want to bet on hockey at your favourite sports site, probability is that you will only find the ice hockey variant. You would need to dig deep into sports betting sites to found some other or different hockey variants to bet on. On the other hand, if you find the above mentioned sports available, now we have given you some insight on how to bet on hockey.
