from Benjamin Hochman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,
I envision one of those grandma-inspired cross-stiches. It’s hanging by the entrance in the Blues’ plane. It’s a circular, white fabric — stitched with blue and gold thread, of course — and it reads: “Road is where the heart is.”
This unusual Blues team, in this unusual Blues season, has found strange comfort at road rinks. This gives hope that the Blues can steal at least one of the next two games at American Airlines Center. These Blues have been wired to withstand adversity after ascending from the depths of the standings, improbably, into the postseason. So bring on your elongated chants and booze-fueled boos. The Blues are 3-0 on the road this postseason, following a season with the fewest regulation road losses in the Western Conference (13).
Asked for an explanation, forward Brayden Schenn said: “I don’t know (why), I guess really no one to impress, no distractions. You’ve just got to worry about yourself (and) each other and just try to find a way to win hockey games. That’s what we did last series.”
