The Toronto Sun's Steve Simmons talks about Brian Burke's snub by Team USA, the inevitability of Mike Babcock being appointed Team Canada's coach for the 2014 Olympics, Jonathan Quick's second consecutive strong playoff performance and the Pittsburgh Penguins' "model" in a Sunday column jam-packed with observations about multiple sports, but it's the following paragraph that caught my eye (and it's been chopped up for easier reading):
Have to figure the Sens will say goodbye to Sergei Gonchar, but this team isn’t one and done. They have $22 million in cap space and with the MVW (most valuable walrus) Paul MacLean coaching, they are well positioned going forward.

One really late second guess of Randy Carlyle: He didn’t play Leo Komarov enough in Game 7 against the Bruins. Komarov plays a smart and basic game with the Leafs. He gets the puck off the boards in his own zone, deep in the offensive zone. He played only 1:12 of the final 26 minutes against Boston. Komarov can help when protecting a lead.
