from Steve Simmons of th Toronto Sun,
- Is there a rule somewhere that says every NHL team must run the same power play format and every team must use the same power play breakout? Sometimes, it looks like robots on ice.
- The difference between Ryan Getzlaf and McDavid, the two best players in the Edmonton-Anaheim playoff series — Getzlaf scored .98 points per game during the regular season, coasting at times. McDavid scored at 1.21 points per game in winning the scoring title and probably the Hart Trophy. But as well as he’s played against the Ducks, he’s scoring at just .82 per game — a 67-point pace — in the post-season.
- With missed calls and unexplainable calls going against them, could it be the NHL is finally getting back at the Oilers for obtaining Wayne Gretzky through less than kosher ways in 1979? Nah! But how else do you explain all the wrong rulings?
