Reality Has Hit The Vegas Golden Knights

Midnight has come early for the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Cinderella slipper no longer fits. There will be no grand mall. The unlikely Stanley Cup finalist is almost certainly not going to become the Stanley Cup champion.

This wonderful story, surely it will be a book or several, maybe a movie, will not have a happily-ever-after ending.

The highly skilled, shot blocking, physically sharp Washington Capitals, have all but put this fairy tale to rest.

The Capitals appeared to be doing in Game 4 Monday night in Washington what they did against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Games 6 and 7 of the Eastern Conference championship.

Now it’s just a matter of when instead of a matter of what. Reality has taken over the Stanley Cup final — in almost every conceivable way.
