Rangers Dominate Top Games On Secondary Market In November

10/31/2015 at 8:35am EDT

From Joe Sudberg,

With the Montreal Canadiens’ scorching hot start capturing the early limelight of the 2015-16 NHL regular season, other teams can now find their way into the focus as the Canadiens’ win streak to start the season was snapped at nine games.

With history put aside for the moment, the NHL season approaches November with a few teams asserting their dominance from the get go. Obviously the Canadiens appear to be contenders with the top goal differential in the league through 11 games. The Lightning are proving last season’s Stanley Cup Final appearance wasn’t a fluke and the New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins are having their usual four-way battle in the Eastern Conference Metropolitan division.

In the West, the Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues are going to swap spots atop the Central division throughout the season, while the Pacific is totally up for grabs as the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames are off to less-than-stellar starts.

The month of November will bring a bit more clarity to the jumbled conference standings. With secondary market ticket information provided by TiqIQ.com, below are the five most expensive NHL tickets for the upcoming month of the schedule.

11/28/2015 | New York Rangers vs. Philadelphia Flyers | Madison Square Garden | Average Price: $335.59 | Get-in Price: $125

11/30/2015 | Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Edmonton Oilers | Air Canada Centre | Average Price: $325.28 | Get-in Price: $93

11/25/2015 | New York Rangers vs. Montreal Canadiens | Madison Square Garden | Average Price: $281.39 | Get-in Price: $101

11/28/2015 | Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Washington Capitals | Air Canada Centre | Average Price: $272.67 | Get-in Price: $92

11/7/2015 | Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins | Centre Bell | Average Price: $264.46 | Get-in Price: $106

The New York Rangers appear twice on the most expensive games of the month list, claiming the No. 1 spot with their game against the Philadelphia Flyers on November 28th at Madison Square Garden with an average ticket price of $335.59 with a get-in price of $125. Philadelphia fans making the road trip to New York can book hotels near Madison Square Garden on Hipmunk.com to stay overnight after the game.

New York also hosts the third most expensive game in a possible playoff preview, as the Canadiens come to The Garden three days early with an average ticket price over $275.

An all-Canadian affair takes place at the end of the month to take the No. 2 spot, as the Maple Leafs host the Edmonton Oilers at the Air Canada Centre. The Maple Leafs are off to a slow start, currently with a 1-5-2 record and only four points, so it speaks volumes that their fans support the team even when the performance isn’t there.

Lastly, hockey fans can be part of the Canadiens hot start by booking a flight to Montreal on Hipmunk to see them play the Bruins on November 7th at Centre Bell.
