As we prepare psychologically for the Red Wings to begin the Stanley Cup playoffs, it’s time to ponder one of Hockeytown’s most important and perplexing questions: Why is Jimmy Devellano not in the Hockey Hall of Fame?
Devellano’s title these days with the Wings is senior vice-president/alternate governor. He is in his 25th year with the club, and even his biggest critics must agree that Devellano played a major role — and perhaps even a crucial role — in building the franchise into the powerhouse it has been for the past decade.
