* In addition, Daniel Alfredsson and Chris Phillips will captain opposing teams at the Senators Alumni Classictonight (7 p.m. ET) on the Canada 150 Rink at Parliament Hill. Click here for a full roster of alumni game participants, a list that includes Alexei Yashin, Mike Fisher, Wade Redden and Patrick Lalime.

* The NHL, Senators and Ottawa Senators Foundation announced the donation of a SENS RINK at a local Boys and Girls Club as a legacy of the 2017 Scotiabank NHL100 Classic outdoor game.

* Did You Know? The NHL has frozen the names of a decade worth of Scotiabank sponsored minor hockey teams into the NHL100 Classic ice to commemorate Scotiabank’s support of one million kids, AND counting, and the future of our sport for the next 100 years.

FLYERS EXTEND STREAK TO FIVE CONTESTS
Travis Sanheim
scored the first goal of his NHL career to help the Flyers (13-11-7, 33 points) earn their fifth consecutive win on the heels of a 10-game skid (0-5-5).

* Elias notes that Philadelphia became the fifth team in NHL history to post five or more consecutive wins immediately following a winless stretch of at least 10 games. The other teams: the 1966-67 Maple Leafs, 1992-93 Flames, 1994-95 Blackhawks and 2005-06 Sharks.

* Brian Elliott (19 saves) has backstopped the Flyers in each of their five games during the stretch, posting a 1.60 goals-against average and .947 save percentage in that span.

SAROS SETS PREDATORS RECORD IN SHUTOUT WIN
Juuse Saros
turned aside all 46 shots he faced to record his first shutout of the season (second career) to help the Predators (20-7-4, 44 points) extend their point streak to six games (5-0-1) and move into a tie, in terms of points, with the Blues (21-10-2, 44 points) atop the Western Conference.

*Saros, who established a franchise record for most saves in a shutout, registered the most saves in a shutout performance since Semyon Varlamov on Jan. 6, 2015 at CHI (54).

GOLDEN KNIGHTS WRITE NHL HISTORY (AGAIN)
In his first start against his former club, Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves to help the Golden Knights improve to 20-9-2 (42 points) this season. Vegas established an NHL record for fewest games to reach the 20-win mark by a club in its inaugural season.

POINT LEADS LIGHTNING TO SIXTH CONSECUTIVE WIN

Brayden Point scored the game-winning goal for the third consecutive contest to lift the League-leading Lightning (23-6-2, 48 points) to their sixth straight victory, the longest active win streak in the NHL.

* Point, who has found the scoresheet in all six games during the streak (5-4—9), became the first player in franchise history and the third player this season to score the winning goal in three consecutive team games.

BAILEY SCORES FIRST CAREER HAT TRICK

Islanders forward Josh Bailey (3-0—3) scored the first hat trick of his NHL career and moved into a tie for fifth in NHL scoring this season with 8-30—38 (32 GP). Bailey set career highs in assists and points last season with 13-43—56 (82 GP).
