TERAVAINEN’S NATURAL HAT TRICK POWERS HURRICANES TO VICTORY
Teuvo Teravainen (3-1—4) scored three consecutive goals in a span of 7:05 of the third period to record his first career hat trick and help the Hurricanes extend their point streak to five contests (3-0-2). Elias notes that Teravainen recorded the 12th natural hat trick in Hurricanes/Whalers franchise history and first since Eric Staalon Dec. 18, 2010 vs. ANA.

* According to Elias, only one player in Hurricanes/Whalers franchise history has recorded a faster natural hat trick than Teravainen – Ray Whitney scored three times in a 1:40 span on Feb. 8, 2007 at BOS.

The Flames (10-7-0, 20 points) outlasted the Western Conference-leading Blues (13-5-1, 27 points) in a back-and-forth contest that saw Calgary relinquish the lead twice in a 57 second span of the third period before scoring three consecutive goals to secure the victory.

* Per Elias, the Flames – who scored six times in their previous game (6-3 W vs. DET on Nov. 9) – registered at least six goals in consecutive games for the first time since Mar. 11 – 13, 2015 (6-3 W vs. ANA and 6-3 W vs. TOR). Elias adds that Calgary became the sixth club in the NHL this season to score six or more goals in consecutive contests.

* The teams combined for seven goals in the third period, marking the second time this season that one period featured at least seven combined goals, joining the Maple Leafs (5) and Rangers (2), who totaled seven goals in the first period on Oct. 7.

* Johnny Gaudreau tallied 1-1—2 in the final frame to extend his point streak to seven contests (5-7—12). Gaudreau (7-17—24) is tied for third in League scoring with Blues forward Jaden Schwartz (10-14—24).

RADULOV EXTENDS POINT STREAK TO EIGHT GAMES
Stars forward Alexander Radulov scored to extend his point streak to eight games (5-6—11), tying Senators forward Mike Hoffman (3-8—11 in 8 GP) and Kings forward Anze Kopitar (2-8—10 in 8 GP) for the League’s longest active point streak.

ZUCKER LOOKS TO CONTINUE SCORING FOR WILD
Jason Zucker looks to extend his scoring streak to four consecutive games (6-0—6 in last 3 GP) when the Wild (7-7-2, 16 points) host the Flyers (8-7-2, 18 points). Zucker has netted each of the last six Minnesota goals dating to Nov. 8 at TOR, extending the longest such streak in franchise history. The longest such run in NHL history is seven consecutive team goals, set by Cy Denneny from Feb. 28 – March 7, 1921 (w/ SEN) and matched by Brian Noonan from Dec. 27 – 29, 1991 (w/ CHI). Only two players other than Zucker have tallied six consecutive team goals since Noonan matched the record in 1991: Glen Murray from Jan. 29 – Feb. 1, 2004 (w/ BOS) and Sergei Fedorov from Dec. 26 – 28, 1996 (w/ DET).

PREDATORS AIM FOR FIFTH CONSECUTIVE VICTORY
The Predators (9-5-2, 20 points) look to push their season-high win streak to five games when they host the Capitals (10-7-1, 21 points). Nashville, who last registered five consecutive regular-season wins from Feb 22 - Mar. 1, 2016 (5-0-0), have outscored opponents 17-11 on their current four-game run.
