RANGERS, CAPITALS RALLY TO EXTEND WIN STREAKS
The Rangers (7-7-2, 16 points) and Capitals (8-6-1, 17 points) each overcame multi-goal deficits to extend their respective win streaks:

* The Rangers overcame deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 before Pavel Buchnevich (1-1—2) scored the go-ahead goal with 8:33 remaining in regulation to power New York to its fourth straight win.

* The Capitals overcame a 2-0 deficit and John Carlson (1-1—2) scored with 45.4 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Washington to its third consecutive victory.
