CANADIENS CLINCH FIRST PLACE IN ATLANTIC DIVISION
Artturi Lehkonen (2-1—3) tied single-game career highs for goals and points to help the Canadiens (46-24-9, 101 points) clinch first place in the Atlantic Division, their third division title in the past five seasons.

* Montreal has won five consecutive games while outscoring opponents 19-6 over the streak and eclipsed the 100-point mark for the third time in the last four campaigns.

* Charlie Lindgren made 31 saves in his first appearance of the season and second of his NHL career. Lindgren has earned a win in each of his first two career appearances (1.50 GAA, .950 SV%).

* Max Pacioretty collected an assist to extend his point streak to five games (2-5—7).

MATTHEWS SETS ROOKIE RECORDS AS MAPLE LEAFS CLIMB STANDINGS
Auston Matthews scored his 39th goal of the season to help the Maple Leafs improve to 11-2-1 in their last 14 games, including four consecutive wins. At 39-24-15 (93 points), the Maple Leafs leapfrogged the idle Bruins (43-30-6, 92 points) to move into sole possession of second place in the Atlantic Division.

* Matthews (39-28—67 in 78 GP) established a single-season Maple Leafs record for points by a rookie, eclipsing the mark set by Peter Ihnacak in 1982-83 (28-38—66 in 80 GP). Matthews also established a single-season NHL record for goals by a U.S.-born rookie, breaking the mark set by Neal Broten in 1981-82 (38).

* Matthews has scored in five consecutive games and has tallied at least one point in nine straight contests (8-4—12). Elias notes that Matthews became the third rookie in franchise history to score in five or more consecutive team games, joining Alf Skinner from Jan. 28 – Feb. 13, 1918 (6 GP) and Gaye Stewart from Nov. 12-21, 1942 (5 GP).

DID YOU KNOW?
William Nylander (22-38—60) and Mitchell Marner (18-42—60) each collected assists to become the second and third Maple Leafs rookies to reach the 60-point mark this season, joining Matthews. Elias notes that the 1980-81 Nordiques are the only other team in NHL history to feature three rookies with at least 60 points (Peter Stastny: 39-70—109, Anton Stastny: 39-46—85, Dale Hunter: 19-44—63).

Prior to 2016-17, Marchessault tallied eight goals in his first 49 career games . . . LIGHTNING-BRUINS, OILERS-KINGS FEATURED ON NBCSN DOUBLEHEADER
Tuesday’s 13-game slate features two contests on NBCSN as part of the network’s “Push For The Playoffs” coverage throughout the final week of the season:

* In the first game, the Bruins (43-30-6, 92 points) host the Lightning (39-29-10, 88 points) at TD Garden. Boston occupies the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference and enters the contest with wins in their last five outings, while Tampa Bay, who have earned points in their last six games (5-0-1), look to gain ground on the Bruins for the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

* In the second contest, the Oilers (44-25-9, 97 points) visit the Kings (37-34-7, 81 points) at STAPLES Center. Edmonton, led by NHL points leader Connor McDavid (29-65—94 in 78 GP), owns sole possession of second place in the Pacific Division and enters the contest on a five-game win streak.

EASTERN CONFERENCE CLUBS LOOK TO SECURE VALUABLE WINS
Four other Eastern Conference clubs in the hunt for postseason berths are in action on Tuesday:

* The Maple Leafs (39-24-15, 93 points) host the League-leading Capitals (52-18-8, 112 points) at Air Canada Centre. Toronto has won four consecutive contests and holds sole possession of second place in the Atlantic Division.

* The Senators (41-27-10, 92 points) conclude their back-to-back, home-and-home set with the Red Wings (32-35-12, 76 points) at Canadian Tire Centre. Ottawa ranks third in the Atlantic Division, one point back of Toronto.

* The Islanders (37-29-12, 86 points) visit the Predators (40-28-11, 91 points) at Bridgestone Arena. New York sits six points back of Boston for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

* The Hurricanes (35-29-14, 84 points) square off with the Wild (46-25-8, 100 points) at Xcel Energy Center. Carolina sits eight points back of Boston for the final Wild Card position in the Eastern Conference.

DUCKS AIM FOR 25TH CONSECUTIVE HOME VICTORY OVER FLAMES
The Pacific Division-leading Ducks (43-23-13, 99 points) aim to extend their point streak to 12 games (8-0-3) and eclipse the 100-point mark for the fourth straight season when they host the Flames (44-31-4, 92 points) at Honda Center. Anaheim has won 24 consecutive regular-season home games versus Calgary dating to April 4, 2004 (CGY: 0-19-5), the longest such run against one opponent in NHL history.
