MAPLE LEAFS PUSH FRANCHISE-RECORD ROAD POINT STREAK TO 11 GAMES
Frederik Andersen (22 saves) registered his second straight shutout (also Jan. 23 vs. CGY) and four different skaters scored as the Maple Leafs extended their franchise-record road point streak to 11 games (9-0-2), including four consecutive wins.


* At 23-14-9 (55 points), the Maple Leafs leapfrogged the idle Bruins (24-21-6, 54 points) for sole possession of third place in the Atlantic Division. Toronto holds five games in hand.

* Andersen registered consecutive shutouts for the first time in his NHL career and improved to 21-10-8 this season (2.55 GAA, .921 SV%, 3 SO).

* Auston Matthews opened the scoring and leads all rookies in goals (23) and game-winning goals (5) this season. Elias notes that Matthews became the first Maple Leafs rookie to score five game-winning goals in a season since Steve Thomas in 1985-86.

OILERS BLANK DUCKS, EXTEND POINT STREAK TO SEVEN GAMES
Cam Talbot (26 saves) picked up his fourth shutout of the season as the Oilers blanked the Ducks and pushed their overall point streak to seven games (6-0-1).

* At 27-15-8 (62 points), the Oilers moved within a point of the Ducks (27-15-9, 63 points) for second place in the Pacific Division. Edmonton holds a game in hand.

* Talbot extended his personal point streak to six games (5-0-1) and improved to 25-12-7 overall (2.36 GAA, .921 SV%, 4 SO).

* Leon Draisaitl scored twice to extend his point streak to five games (3-3—6). Draisaitl leads the Oilers with 19 goals this season (50 GP), which matches his total from 2015-16 (72 GP).

* Connor McDavid (2-5—7) and Zack Kassian (2-3—5) also extended their point streaks to five games.

LOOSE PUCKS
Vancouver surrendered a 2-0 lead, but Sven Baertschi (2-0—2) scored the go-ahead goal with 8:14 remaining in regulation to guide the Canucks to their third win in their last four contests. Henrik Sedin collected an assist to extend his point streak to six games (2-4—6) . . . Flyers goaltender Steve Mason turned aside all 34 shots he faced to pick up his first shutout of the season. Wayne Simmonds opened the scoring to reach the 20-goal mark for the fourth consecutive season and the fifth time in his NHL career . . . Avalanche defenseman Francois Beauchemin skated in the 800th game of his NHL career . . . Maple Leafs defenseman Roman Polak scored while skating in the 600th game of his NHL career . . . Members of the MLB’s Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim dropped the ceremonial puck at Honda Center prior to the Oilers-Ducks game . . . Bruins forward Brad Marchandwill have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday for a dangerous trip against Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall . . . The Senators appointed Tom Anselmi as president and CEO of the team . . . The NHL and the Kings will unveil newly renovated indoor and outdoor spaces at the Crenshaw Family YMCA for the 2017 NHL All-Star Legacy Project . . . World-renowned rapper Snoop Dogg will open the 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star Skills Competitionthis Saturday at STAPLES Center behind the turntables as DJ Snoopadelic.

BLUES-WILD MATCHUP HIGHLIGHTS 13-GAME SCHEDULE
On the final night before the NHL All-Star break (Friday, Jan. 27 – Monday, Jan. 30), 26 teams will be in action including the Wild (31-11-5, 67 points) hosting the Blues (24-19-5, 53 points) on NBCSN.
