LUONGO ALSO MOVES UP ALL-TIME LIST WITH WIN
While Jaromir Jagr factored on all three Panthers goals in regulation, his teammate RobertoLuongo made 33 saves through overtime and stopped both shootout attempts to pick up his 447th career victory, tying Terry Sawchuk for fifth place on the NHL’s all-time list. Only MartinBrodeur (691), Patrick Roy (551), Ed Belfour (484) and Curtis Joseph (454) have recorded more victories.

BLUE JACKETS SET FRANCHISE RECORD WITH 10TH CONSECUTIVE VICTORY
Cam Atkinson scored both goals in regulation and tallied in the shootout to help the Blue Jackets establish a franchise record with their 10th consecutive victory. At 21-5-4 (46 points), Columbus sits one point back of first place in the Eastern Conference and two points shy of the top spot in the NHL.

* Columbus also extended its point streak to 12 games (11-0-1), the third such run in franchise history. The others: 8-0-4 from Feb. 26 – March 22, 2013 and 12-0-1 from March 18 – April 11, 2015.

* Atkinson, who extended his career-high point streak to seven games (6-6—12), leads the team and shares eighth in the NHL with 14-19—33 this season (30 GP). Curtis McElhinney made 44 saves through overtime to improve to 2-0-2 in five appearances this season.

DUBNYK, WILD POST (ANOTHER) SHUTOUT TO EXTEND STREAKS
Devan Dubnyk made 18 saves and Charlie Coyle (GWG) scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season to help the Wild extend their win streak to eight games, one shy of matching the franchise record set from March 8-24, 2007.

* Minnesota also pushed its win streak at Xcel Energy Center to seven games to move within one of tying the franchise record for consecutive home victories, achieved twice in 2006-07 when they won a club record 29 games on home ice.

* Dubnyk recorded his League-leading fifth shutout of the season to establish a career-high with his seventh consecutive victory and push his personal-best point streak to 11 games (9-0-2; 1.51 GAA, .947 SV%, 1 SO).

* The Wild pace the NHL with only 60 goals against this season, aided by Dubnyk’s League-leading 1.55 goals-against average and .948 save percentage.

HIGH-SCORING PENGUINS TAKE OVER FIRST PLACE IN EAST
Seven different players scored – including Evgeni Malkin (1-2—3), Sidney Crosby (1-1—2) and Phil Kessel (1-1—2) – to power the Penguins past the Metropolitan Division rival Rangers in a game that featured the top two teams in the Eastern Conference.

* With the regulation win, the Penguins (21-7-5, 47 points) leapfrogged the Rangers (23-11-1, 47 points) and moved within one point of the Blackhawks (22-9-4, 48 points) for the top spot in the NHL. Pittsburgh has two games in hand on both clubs.

* Pittsburgh, who paces the NHL with 116 goals this season, has three players within the top nine in League scoring: Malkin (3rd; 14-23—37), Crosby (4th; 22-14—36) and Kessel (t-8th; 11-22—33). Crosby also leads all players with 22 goals, despite playing only 27 games.

* The Penguins extended their overall point streak to 10 games, their longest since posting 15 consecutive wins from March 2-30, 2013. Pittsburgh also improved to 14-2-2 on home ice, including an active eight-game point streak (7-0-1).

LOOSE PUCKS
Sharks forward Joe Thornton (0-2—2) became the 37th player in NHL history to play in 1,400 career games. Only four other active players have reached the milestone: Jaromir Jagr (1,662), JaromeIginla (1,505), Shane Doan (1,498) and Patrick Marleau (1,444) . . . Defenseman Jeff Petry (1-2—3) posted his second career three-point game as the Canadiens picked up their League-leading 15th home win . . . Ottawa teammates Derick Brassard and Tom Pyatt scored 10 seconds apart – two seconds shy of equaling the franchise record for fastest two goals – to help the Senators defeat the League-leading Blackhawks . . . Thomas Greiss made a career-high 48 saves, punctuated by 21 in the third period, to help the Islanders halt a five-game skid (0-4-1) . . . Blues forward David Perron scored his first career overtime goal (604 GP) . . . Forwards James Neal (NSH), Jannik Hansen (VAN) and Joonas Donskoi (SJS) each scored twice in wins . . . Victor Hedman (0-1—1) became the first Lightning defenseman to record 200 career assists . . . Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano scored while playing in his 738th consecutive game, surpassing Jay Bouwmeester for the fifth-longest such streak in NHL history. Only Doug Jarvis (964) had a longer such run to begin his NHL career . . . Bruins forward AntonBlidh (7 GP) scored his first career NHL goal . . . Forward Pat Cannone, 30, became the second-oldest player to make his NHL debut with the Wild, while Tanner Richard (TBL) and Nick Jensen (DET) also skated in their first career NHL games . . . Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, Predators defenseman P.K. METROPOLITAN DIVISION FOES CLASH ON RIVALRY NIGHT
NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Rivalry features a pair of Metropolitan Division foes as the Capitals (19-8-3, 41 points) and Flyers (19-11-4, 42 points) meet for their first of four matchups this season. Philadelphia owns an 11-1-1 mark in their past 13 contests but has lost two straight after winning 10 in a row.
