GOALS IN BUNCHES LEAD TEAMS TO VICTORY
The Bruins, Ducks and Predators all used multiple goals in a short period of time to secure wins on Thursday:

* The Bruins scored five consecutive goals, including four in a span of 4:01 of the first period, to overcome an early deficit and improve to 5-2-0 in their last seven games. Tuukka Rask improved to 8-1-0 this season (1.76 GAA, .938 SV%, 2 SO). Per Elias, Rask is the fourth goaltender in franchise history to win eight of his first nine appearances to begin a season, joining Frank Brimsek (1938-39), Gerry Cheevers (1976-77) and Tim Thomas (2010-11).

* Jakob Silfverberg (2-2—4) matched a career high with four points, scoring a pair of goals – including the game-winner – in a 3:06 span of the second period, to help the Ducks extend their point streak to four games (3-0-1).

* James Neal (1-0—1) and Calle Jarnkrok (2-0—2) scored a pair of third period goals 1:06 apart to break a 1-1 tie and help the Predators win their second straight game and earn a point for the fifth consecutive contest (3-0-2).

GETZLAF, HEDMAN TOP FRANCHISE LISTS
Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf (0-1—1) and Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman (0-1—1) both reached the top of all-time franchise assist lists:

* Getzlaf registered the 532nd assist of his NHL career, all with the Ducks, to pass Teemu Selanne (531) for the most in franchise history.

* Hedman recorded his 188th career assist, all with the Lightning, to pass Dan Boyle(187) for the most by a defenseman in franchise history.

ICYMI: Selanne congratulated Getzlaf on the achievement but joked he should shoot the puck more in a video message on Twitter.

LOOSE PUCKS
The Blues announced their roster for the 2017 NHL Winter Classic Alumni Gameincluding Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull and Al MacInnis . . . MAPLE LEAFS FACE FLYERS IN HOCKEY HALL OF FAME GAME
The annual Hockey Hall of Fame Game pits the Maple Leafs against the Flyers at Air Canada Centre and marks the first event of a weekend-long celebration in advance of Monday’s Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
