RASK BLANKS SABRES TO CLIMB BRUINS ALL-TIME LIST
Tuukka Rask turned aside all 32 shots he faced to improve to 7-1-0 this season (1.74 GAA, .941 SV%, 2 SO) and backstop the Bruins to their fourth victory in their last five outings.

* Rask registered the 32nd shutout of his NHL career to pass Tim Thomas (31) for sole possession of third on the franchise’s all-time list:

SMITH SCORES LATE GOAL TO POWER PANTHERS PAST LIGHTNING
Reilly Smith stole the puck from Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman and scored the game-winning goal with 4:28 left in regulation to help the Panthers improve to 5-2-0 at home this season.

* Playing against his former club, Jonathan Marchessault opened the scoring with his seventh goal of the season (13 GP) to match his total from 2015-16 (45 GP w/ TBL).

* Roberto Luongo (34 saves) earned the 440th win of his NHL career, seven shy of Terry Sawchuk (447) for fifth place all-time.

Claude Julien, the franchise’s all-time leader in wins among head coaches, earned his 400th career victory behind the Bruins bench . . . Cal Clutterbuck scored the go-ahead goal at 9:11 of the third period to help the Islanders snap a three-game skid (0-1-2) . . . Islanders captain John Tavares (0-1—1) extended his point streak to five games (1-4—5) . . . The Jets signed defenseman Jacob Troubato a two-year contract . . . The Las Vegas expansion franchise will announce its name and logo on Nov. 22 . . . Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov, Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford and Rangers center Kevin Hayes were named the NHL’s “Three Stars” for the week . . . Olympic gymnast Aly Raismandropped the ceremonial puck at Barclays Center . . . Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop wore a special helmet decal to honor Veterans Day in the United States and Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller wore a special helmet decal to commemorate Remembrance Day in Canada.
