SENATORS, BLACKHAWKS STAY HOT WITH SHUTOUT WINS
The Senators and Blackhawks continued hot streaks with shutout wins on Thursday:

* In his debut with the Senators (and first start since April 9), Mike Condon turned aside all 27 shots he faced to help his new club to its third straight win. Elias notes that Condon, who was acquired from the Penguins on Wednesday, became the third Senators goaltender to record a shutout in his team debut (also Patrick Lalime: Oct. 2, 1999 at PHI and Craig Anderson: Feb. 19, 2011 at TOR).

* Corey Crawford (38 SV) recorded his second shutout in his past three games (also Oct. 30 vs. LAK) to help the Blackhawks extend their point streak to six games (5-0-1), including four straight wins. Playing in his 500th NHL game, Artem Anisimov (0-1—1) extended his career-high point streak to nine contests to take sole possession of the League scoring lead (7-7—14).

NEW YORK CITY COMEBACKS
The Rangers and Flyers each rallied for wins in New York City:

* Facing their former goaltender Cam Talbot for the first time, the Rangers overcame a trio of one-goal deficits before Rick Nash scored the go-ahead goal with 1:21 remaining in regulation to power New York to a 6-1-0 mark in its past seven games. Per Elias, the Rangers overcame three separate one-goal deficits and won in regulation for the first time since Dec. 9, 2010 at OTT (5-3 W).

* In Brooklyn, Matt Read evened the score with 57.1 seconds remaining in regulation and ClaudeGiroux sealed the victory with a dazzling shootout goal to help the Flyers stage their second straight comeback win. Philadelphia also tied the game late in regulation on Wednesday vs. DET and have overcome deficits in five of their six victories this season.

YOUTH POWERS CLUBS TO VICTORY
* Rookie Mitch Marner (2-0—2) recorded the first multi-goal game of his NHL career to help the Maple Leafs earn their first regulation win in Buffalo since Feb. 16, 2011 (1-6-4 since). Toronto’s rookies have combined for nearly half of the team’s goals this season (14 of 31; 45.2%).

* Matthew Tkachuk (2-0—2) also registered his first career multi-goal game to guide the Flames to their third win in their last four road contests. Elias says Tkachuk became the second 18-year-old in franchise history to score multiple goals in a game, joining Dan Quinn (three such performances in 1983-84).

* The Panthers surrendered a 3-1 lead in the third period, but Vincent Trocheck (2-0—2) scored with 43.4 seconds left in overtime to lead Florida to victory. Trocheck, who played for Team North America at the World Cup of Hockey, scored his first career overtime goal (157 GP).

* Forward Anthony Duclair, 21, scored the tying goal in the third period and the decisive marker in the shootout to guide the Coyotes to their third win in their last four outings. Rookie Christian Dvorak, 20, provided Arizona’s first goal – the first of his NHL career (8 GP).

LOOSE PUCKS
Tyler Seguin (0-4—4) and Jamie Benn (0-3—3) combined for seven points to lead the Stars past the Blues in their first meeting since Game 7 of the Second Round in last year’s playoffs . . . Kings forward Nic Dowd scored a highlight-reel goal in overtime to help Darryl Sutter become the 14th head coach in NHL history to reach the 600-win milestone . . . Penguins captain Sidney Crosby (2-0—2) has recorded at least one point in all five of his appearances this season (6-2—8) . . . Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask (27 SV) improved to 6-0-0 this season (1.48 GAA, .951 SV%, 1 SO) . . . Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr (0-1—1) skated in his 1,640th career game to surpass Dave Andreychuk (1,639) for sole possession of sixth place in NHL history; Chris Chelios (1,651) ranks fifth . . . Devils forward Pavel Zacha (10 GP) scored his first NHL goal . . . The Department of Player Safety suspended Kings defenseman Tom Gilbert for three games for boardingDucks forward Nick Ritchie . . .
