John Gibson made 25 saves and stopped all three shootout attempts he faced to lead the Ducks to a 16-1-1 record in their last 18 games, including nine consecutive wins – one shy of the franchise record established Dec. 6-28, 2013 (10-0-0).

* At 35-19-8 (78 points), the Ducks tied the idle Kings (37-21-4, 78 points) – in terms of points – atop the Pacific Division. Los Angeles, however, owns the ROW tiebreaker (LAK: 35, ANA: 32). These teams will face off two more times this season: Saturday and April 7, both at STAPLES Center (ANA: 2-1-0, LAK: 1-2-0).

* The Ducks also picked up their eighth straight victory at Honda Center, their longest home winning streak since Dec. 9, 2013 – Jan. 14, 2014 (10-0-0).

* Jakob Silfverberg provided the lone goal in the shootout. His 62.1% career efficiency (18-for-29) leads all players in NHL history with a minimum of 20 attempts.
