KANE’S FOUR POINTS LIFT BLACKHAWKS OVER MAPLE LEAFS . . .
Patrick Kane registered 1-3—4 – his third four-point performance of the season and second against the Maple Leafs (also Jan. 15 at TOR: 3-1—4) – to help the Blackhawks snap a three-game skid (0-2-1).

* The Blackhawks improved to 22-7-2 (46 points) this season at United Center. Their 22 home wins and 46 home points both pace the NHL.

* Kane, who holds an 18-point lead in the Art Ross Trophy race (34-48—82 in 60 GP), reached the 80-point milestone for the second time. He is six points shy of matching his career high, established in 2009-10 (30-58—88 in 82 GP).

* Kane, who equaled single-game highs in assists (8x) and points (4x), also recorded his 400th NHL assist (239-400—639 in 636 GP).

* Andrew Shaw (1-2—3) and Duncan Keith (0-3—3) added three points apiece. Shaw posted his first such game since Nov. 25, 2013 at EDM (2-1—3), while Keith registered his second such performance of the season (also Dec. 29 at ARI: 1-2—3).

. . . JANMARK, STARS KEEP PACE ATOP CENTRAL DIVISION
Mattias Janmark (1-1—2) scored at 3:49 of overtime to power the Stars to their fourth consecutive win and seventh victory in their last eight outings.

* At 37-15-5 (79 points), the Stars maintained first place in the Central Division and Western Conference. Though they are tied with the Blackhawks (37-18-5, 79 points) in terms of points, Dallas holds three games in hand.

* Janmark, who has collected 12-11—23 in his rookie season (57 GP), recorded his third career game-winning goal and first in overtime. Only three other rookies have scored overtime goals in 2015-16: Philadelphia’s Shayne Gostisbehere (3x), Chicago’s Artemi Panarin and Boston’s Frank Vatrano.

* Jamie Benn (1-5—6) and Tyler Seguin (3-5—8) both collected one assist to extend their point streaks to five games. Benn ranks second in the NHL with 29-35—64 overall this season, while Seguin shares third place with 30-33—63.

DUCKS RALLY PAST FLAMES, CONTINUE CLIMB UP PACIFIC . . .
The Ducks erased a trio of one-goal deficits – 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 – en route to their ninth win in their past 11 games (9-1-1) and a 16-4-2 record dating to Dec. 27.

* At 28-19-8 (64 points), the Ducks leapfrogged the idle Sharks (29-20-5, 63 points) for second place in the Pacific Division. The team ranked 29th in the NHL with a 12-15-6 record (30 points) prior to this 22-game stretch.

* Mike Santorelli (2-0—2) registered his fifth career multi-goal game and first since Dec. 8, 2013 vs. COL (2-1—3 w/ VAN). Cam Fowler (0-3—3) and Corey Perry (1-1—2) also contributed multiple points.

* Frederik Andersen made 33 saves to improve to 8-0-1 in his last nine decisionsfollowing a 5-8-5 start to the season. He also boosted his record to 4-0-1 in six careerregular-season appearances vs. CGY.

. . . EKMAN-LARSSON, HANZAL POWER COYOTES
Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Martin Hanzal both recorded 1-2—3 to lead the Coyotes to their second victory in their last three contests.

* At 26-24-6 (58 points), the Coyotes moved within four points of the idle Avalanche (29-26-4, 62 points) for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. They also climbed within five points of the idle Sharks (29-20-5, 63 points) for third place in the Pacific Division.

* Ekman-Larsson notched his fifth three-point performance of the season and second in his last three outings (also Feb. 12 vs. CGY: 1-2—3). He shares fourth place among defensemen with 17-27—44 overall (56 GP) – that equals his career high established in 2013-14 (15-29—44 in 80 GP).

* Hanzal posted his second three-point game of the season (also Oct. 14 at ANA: 0-3—3). He has picked up 3-2—5 in his last four contests following a span of 0-2—2 in 11 games.

AROUND THE RINKS
* The Penguins tied the game late in regulation, but Jussi Jokinen scored the decisive goal in the fifth round of the shootout to lift the Panthers over his former team. Al Montoyamade 31 saves and denied four of five attempts in the tiebreaker to improve to 9-4-1 this season (1.98 GAA, .929 SV%). At 33-18-6 (72 points), the Panthers moved five points ahead of the Red Wings (29-19-9, 67 points) – who lost in regulation – for first place in the Atlantic Division.

* Five different players scored to power the Wild to a victory in the debut of interim head coach John Torchetti. Three players registered multiple points – Jared Spurgeon (1-1—2), Erik Haula (0-2—2) and Ryan Suter (0-2—2) – and Devan Dubnyk made 24 saves to snap a personal nine-game skid (0-8-1). At 24-22-10 (58 points), the Wild moved within four points of the idle Avalanche (29-26-4, 62 points) for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

* Brock Nelson and Ryan Strome both collected 1-1—2 to lead the Islanders to their fourth win in their last five games overall as well as their fourth straight victory at Barclays Center. Thomas Greiss turned aside 28 shots to improve to 16-6-2 this season (2.16 GAA, .931 SV%, 1 SO), including wins in five consecutive starts. At 30-19-6 (66 points), the Islanders leapfrogged the idle Devils (29-21-7, 65 points) to reclaim third place in the Metropolitan Division.

JAGR CELEBRATES 44TH BIRTHDAY
Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr logged 20:42 and recorded one shot on goal while celebrating his 44th birthday. Jagr became the 10th player – and second forward – in NHL history to appear in a game at age 44 or older.

The others, which include only four non-goaltenders: Johnny Bower (G), Chris Chelios(D), Doug Harvey (D), Tim Horton (D), Gordie Howe (F), Lester Patrick (G), Jacques Plante (G), Moe Roberts (G) and Gump Worsley (G).

* Canucks forward Alex Friesen, a sixth-round selection (172nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft, made his League debut.

BLUES TRY TO GAIN GROUND AGAINST DIVISION-LEADING STARS
The Blues (32-17-9, 73 points), who rank third in the Central Division and Western Conference, attempt to gain ground when they welcome the first-place Stars (37-15-5, 79 points) to Scottrade Center in a national broadcast on NBCSN. This marks the fourth of five meetings in 2015-16 between these division rivals; St. Louis has won two of the first three matchups (STL: 2-1-0, DAL: 1-1-1), but Dallas posted a 3-0 victory in their most recent encounter on Dec. 27 at American Airlines Center. The Blues have earned at least one point in 14 of their last 17 games overall (9-3-5), including four straight (3-0-1). The Stars, meanwhile, have won seven of their past eight outings, including four in a row.
