TARASENKO POWERS BLUES TO FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN
Vladimir Tarasenko scored twice, including the tiebreaking goal midway through the third period, to power the Blues to their fourth straight win overall and a 5-0-2 record in seven all-time visits to MTS Centre (dating to Feb. 25, 2012).

* Tarasenko, who registered his 10th career multi-goal performance, stretched his season-opening point streak to six games (5-4—9). Via Elias, he became the first Blues player to post at least one point in each of the team’s first six games of one season since 2008-09, when Paul Kariya (1-9—10), Brad Boyes (5-4—9) and Keith Tkachuk (7-0—7) all did so.

* Tarasenko picked up his first game-winning goal of the season after establishing a career high with six in 2014-15. Overall, he is tied for first in the NHL this season in goals (w/ Jamie Benn, Zach Parise and Tomas Plekanec) and points (w/ David Krejci andHenrik Zetterberg).

* Brian Elliott made 27 saves to improve to 4-0-0 this season (2.01 GAA, .918 SV%). He also improved to 9-2-3 in 15 career appearances vs. WPG/ATL (2.68 GAA, .903 SV%), including a 5-0-2 record since joining the Blues (2.05 GAA, .921 SV%).

KHUDOBIN, DUCKS GET FIRST VICTORY OF 2015-16
Anton Khudobin made 34 saves, including 16 in the third period, to backstop the Ducks to their first win of the season and a 10-1-0 record in their past 11 meetings with the Wild (dating to Feb. 14, 2012).

* Khudobin, who the Ducks acquired in an offseason trade (w/ CAR), improved to 42-37-8 in 93 career NHL appearances (2.41 GAA, .918 SV%, 4 SO). He also picked up his first win in three career appearances vs. MIN (1-2-0, 3.03 GAA, .883 SV%).

* Knotted at 1-1 late in the first period, the Ducks scored three unanswered goals – byRickard Rakell, Mike Santorelli and Hampus Lindholm – to snap their four-game season-opening skid (0-3-1). Rakell registered his second game-winning goal in 98 career NHL appearances (also March 4 vs. MTL).

DEVILS, OILERS PICK UP OT WINS ON THE ROAD
Both the Devils and Oilers recorded overtime victories on the road:

* Lee Stempniak, who played 53 games with the Rangers last season (9-9—18), scoredat 3:07 of overtime to lift the Devils over their Hudson River rivals and to their first win of the season. Stempniak, who notched his fourth career overtime goal (and first since Nov. 21, 2008 vs. ANA w/ STL), also posted his first goal since signing with the Devils as a free agent (5 GP).

* Adam Henrique added 1-1—2 and Cory Schneider made 26 saves for the Devils, who snapped a six-game losing streak to the Rangers dating to the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series at Yankee Stadium (0-5-1).

* Lauri Korpikoski scored at 1:46 of overtime to power the Oilers to their second victory in as many days and help the team snap a five-game losing streak to the Canucks dating to Oct. 11, 2014 (0-3-2). Korpikoski, who the Oilers acquired in an offseason trade (w/ ARI), notched his first career overtime goal (475 GP).

* Anders Nilsson, who established a career high with 48 saves in his first appearance with the team (Oct. 13 at DAL), made 33 stops to pick up his first win with the Oilers.

KINGS EDGE AVALANCHE FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WIN
Matt Duchene tied the game at 15:57 of the second period, but Tyler Toffoli scored 23 seconds later to propel the Kings to their second straight win following a 0-3-0 start to the season.

* Jonathan Quick made 22 saves to improve to 13-4-1 in 19 career appearances vs. COL (2.25 GAA, .912 SV%, 2 SO). Overall, the Kings improved to 8-0-1 in their last nine meetings with the Avalanche dating to Feb. 23, 2013, including six straight wins.

MILESTONES & BENCHMARKS
* Avalanche forward Jarome Iginla (0-1—1) recorded his 1,229th career point (591-638—1,229) to tie Norm Ullman (490-739—1,229) for 39th place on the NHL’s all-time points list. He now sits three points shy of tying Phil Housley (338-894—1,232) for 38th place.

* Canucks defenseman Matt Bartkowski scored his first regular-season NHL goal (137 GP). He has notched one goal in the playoffs (15 GP).

* Blues defenseman Joel Edmundson (0-1—1), a native of Brandon, Man., registered his first NHL assist/point (5 GP) while playing in his home province.

* Ducks forward Mike Santorelli posted his first goal with his new team (4 GP).

* Darryl Sutter (LAK) earned his 549th career victory to tie Marc Crawford for 14th place on the NHL’s all-time wins list among head coaches.

* John Hynes (NJD) recorded his first career win as an NHL head coach.

LOOSE PUCKS
Jets forward Blake Wheeler collected one assist to extend his season-opening point streak to six games (3-5—8). Per Elias, he became the second player in Jets/Thrashers history to record at least one point in each of the club’s first six or more games of one season. The other: Donald Audette, who did so through the Thrashers’ opening seven games of 2000-01 (7-7—14) . . . Avalanche goaltender Reto Berra made 38 saves, but saw his shutout streak end at 203:02 (dating to April 3 at ANA) . . . Canucks goaltenderRyan Miller (22 SV) suffered his first loss in 13 career appearances vs. EDM (12-0-1, 2.21 GAA, .921 SV%, 1 SO) . . . ICYMI: Oilers forward Connor McDavid made a nifty play off the boards before setting up Nail Yakupov for the team’s first goal . . . Devils captain Andy Greene cleared a potential game-winning goal off the goal line.
