NY RANGERS 2, Washington 1 (OT) – WSH leads 3-2
Anaheim 4, CALGARY 2 – ANA leads 3-1

RANGERS RALLY TO STAVE OFF ELIMINATION IN OT
Trailing 1-0 late in the third period, the Rangers rallied to force Game 6 after Chris Kreider tied the game with 1:41 remaining in regulation to set the stage for Ryan McDonagh’s overtime winner.

* According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time the Rangers scored a tying goal in the final two minutes of regulation in a playoff game before winning in overtime was May 7, 2012 in Game 5 of the CSF vs. WSH (3-2 OT W). In that game, Brad Richardsevened the score with eight seconds remaining in regulation before defenseman Marc Staal scored at 1:35 of overtime.

* The Rangers have won each of their last nine home playoff games when facing elimination dating to May 1, 2008 in Game 4 of the CSF vs. PIT (3-0 W). Elias notes that New York’s nine-game home winning streak when facing elimination is an NHL record, two games longer than the previous mark of seven shared by the Detroit Red Wings (1934-40 and 1949-55) and the Montreal Canadiens (1941-50).

* The Rangers earned their third overtime win of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs (3-0), tying the franchise record for most playoff overtime wins in one year (also 1940, 1971, and 1997).

* All 10 games the Rangers have played during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs have featured one-goal margins. The club has contested 12 straight such games dating to last postseason (Game 4 of F vs. LAK), the longest such streak in Stanley Cup Playoffs history.

* McDonagh’s goal was his first career playoff overtime marker. Elias says he is the fifth defenseman in franchise history to score a playoff overtime goal, but the first to do so in a game in which the Rangers faced elimination. Both of McDonagh’s goals in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs have stood as game-winners.

* Kreider’s tally was his third of the postseason. He leads the Rangers in playoff goals (14) since he made his NHL debut in Game 3 of the CQF vs. OTT on Apr. 16, 2012.

* Derek Stepan (0-2—2) assisted on both Rangers goals and is tied for the team lead with 2-4—6 in 10 games.

* ALL-ACCESS: Cameras went inside the locker room to capture the Rangers awarding the Broadway Hat to captain McDonagh following his Game 5 overtime winner.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: HENRIK LUNDQVIST

* Henrik Lundqvist made 28 saves to improve to 6-4 this postseason with a 1.55 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage.

* In his last nine games in which the Rangers have faced elimination at home, Lundqvist has posted a 9-0 record (0.97 GAA, .968 SV%, 2 SO).

* Lundqvist holds a 12-3 mark (1.33 GAA, .957 SV%, 2 SO) in the last 15 games in which the Rangers have faced elimination (home and away).

* Per Elias, Lundqvist has allowed no more than two goals in nine of his 10 games in this year's playoffs, including each of his last eight contests. That marks the longest streak of consecutive games allowing two or fewer goals in one playoff year by a Rangers goaltender, breaking the old mark of seven straight games set by Mike Richter in 1997.

* Elias adds that since 2008, the only other NHL goaltender with a streak of eight or more straight games allowing two or fewer goals in one playoff year is Jonathan Quick, who did so in nine consecutive games in 2012.

BELESKEY’S HOT HAND PUSHES DUCKS TO 3-1 SERIES LEAD
Matt Beleskey scored the eventual game-winning goal at 1:11 of the third period andJakob Silfverberg (1-1—2) and Francois Beauchemin (0-2—2) added multi-point efforts for the Ducks who sit one win away from a berth in the Western Conference Final for the first time since capturing the Stanley Cup in 2007.

* Beleskey has now scored in four consecutive games (4-0—4). According to Elias, his four-game goal streak matches a postseason franchise record set by Teemu Selanne(April 13-20, 2011) and Corey Perry (April 23-May 1, 2009).

* Beleskey’s four goals have come in each of the first four games of Anaheim’s Second Round series with Calgary. Per Elias, he is just the second player in franchise history to register goals in each of the first four games of a playoff series, joining Selanne (Games 1-4 of 2011 CQF vs. NSH).

* Beleskey has scored two game-winning goals in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs (8 GP) after leading the Ducks with eight deciding tallies during the regular season (65 GP).

* Silfverberg recorded his third multi-point game of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, with all three coming on the road. Via Elias, Tampa Bay's Tyler Johnson is the only other player with three multi-point road games this postseason.

* With two assists, Beauchemin became the franchise’s all-time leader in playoff points by a defenseman (10-25—35 in 89 GP), passing Scott Niedermayer (8-26—34 in 56 GP).

* Frederik Andersen made 25 saves to improve to 7-1 in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage.

* The Ducks improved to 7-1 in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, including a 3-1 mark on the road. No other team this postseason has fewer than two losses on their record.

* ALL-ACCESS: Ducks forward Andrew Coglianowas mic’d up while scoring his second period goal.
