GAUDREAU, BACKLUND SPARK FLAMES TO COMEBACK VICTORY
Johnny Gaudreau registered the tying goal with 19.5 seconds remaining in regulationand Mikael Backlund scored at 4:24 of overtime to help the Flames overcome a pair of one-goal deficits, cut their series deficit in half and hand the Ducks their first loss of the postseason.

* Per Elias, Gaudreau (at 19:40) notched the latest game-tying goal in Flames playoff history. Robert Reichel held the previous such record, scoring the tying goal at 19:13 of the third period on May 9, 1995 vs. SJS (5-4 OT L).

* Gaudreau, who was held off the scoresheet in the first two games of the series, paces the Flames with 3-4—7 this postseason (9 GP). He shared first among rookies with 24-40—64 during the regular season (80 GP).

* Backlund registered his first career playoff goal (1-1—2 in 9 GP). Elias says he became the fourth player in Flames history to score his first career postseason goal in overtime. The others: Ed Beers (April 6, 1983 vs. VAN), Marcus Nilson (April 22, 2004 at DET) and Steve Montador (May 9, 2004 at SJS).

* Elias adds that the Flames notched the tying goal in the final minute of regulation and won in overtime for the first time in their playoff history. The Kings were the last team to accomplish that feat, doing so almost exactly one year earlier (also vs. ANA). On May 3, 2014, Marian Gaborik tied the game at 19:53 of the third period and then scored at 12:07 of overtime to lead Los Angeles to a Game 1 victory in the Second Round.

* Brandon Bollig opened the scoring just 2:07 after the opening face-off, his second goal this postseason (2-0—2 in 9 GP). He had one goal (and two points) in his first 24 career playoff outings prior to 2015.

* Joe Colborne tied the game with a shorthanded breakaway goal early in the second period, his first career strike in the postseason (1-2—3 in 11 GP). He became the first Flames player to score a shorthanded goal in the playoffs since April 21, 2007 at DET (Andrei Zyuzin).

* Karri Ramo made 18 saves to record his second career postseason victory and first as a starter (2-1, 2.78 GAA, .896 SV% in 5 GP).

* The Flames earned their third victory of the playoffs when trailing after two periods, tied for first in the NHL (w/ ANA) – no other team has more than one such win. Calgary also ranked third in the League with 10 victories in that scenario during the regular season (ANA: 12, DET: 11).

* The Flames improved to 18-24 in 42 all-time postseason overtime games (7-13 at home). They registered their first such win since April 21, 2006, also vs. ANA (Darren McCarty).

* The Flames improved to 4-0 at home during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Only two other teams are undefeated on home ice: the Blackhawks (5-0) and Ducks (4-0).

CRAWFORD, KANE POWER BLACKHAWKS TO 3-0 SERIES LEAD
Corey Crawford stopped all 30 shots he faced and Patrick Kane scored the lone goal at 14:06 of the first period to power the Blackhawks to a 3-0 series lead over the Wild.

* The Blackhawks improved to 11-3 in 14 all-time postseason games against the Wild, but won a head-to-head Game 3 for the first time (1-2).

* The Blackhawks hold a 3-0 series lead for the first time since the 2010 Western Conference Final vs. SJS, which they ultimately swept en route to their fourth Stanley Cup (and first in 49 years).

* The Blackhawks earned their ninth all-time postseason win by a 1-0 margin and first since May 8, 1992 vs. DET, when Ed Belfour made 29 saves and Brent Sutterprovided the lone goal (in Game 4 of DF). They also picked up their third such win on the road and first since April 13, 1974 at LAK, when Tony Esposito stopped all 32 shots he faced and Germain Gagnon scored the lone goal (in Game 3 of QF).

* Crawford recorded his fourth career playoff shutout and second against the Wild, with both at Xcel Energy Center (also May 7, 2013 at MIN: 25 SV). Overall, he improved to 11-3 in 14 career postseason appearances vs. MIN (1.60 GAA, .942 SV%, 2 SO).

* Crawford made 30 saves for the second consecutive game, including a desperation blocker stop in the third period, to improve to 4-1 this postseason (2.52 GAA, .916 SV%, 1 SO).

* Kane scored for the fourth straight game (5-1—6), equaling his longest such streak in the playoffs (also April 24 – May 3, 2010: 4-1—5). He also registered the winning goal for the second consecutive contest, a first in his postseason career.

* Per Elias, Kane became the 14th player in Blackhawks history to score in each of the first three games of a playoff series and the first to do so since Dustin Byfuglien in the 2010 Western Conference Final vs. SJS. Only three players in franchise history have registered goals in each of the first four games of a postseason series: Bobby Hull(Games 1-5 of 1965 SF vs. DET), Steve Larmer (Games 1-4 of 1989 DF vs. STL) and Byfuglien (Games 1-4 of 2010 CF vs. SJS).

* Overall, Kane leads the Blackhawks and ranks third in the NHL with 6-5—11 this postseason (9 GP), including 5-3—8 during a six-game point streak. He has 43-59—102 in his playoff career (102 GP), including 7-6—13 in 14 games vs. MIN (4 GWGs).

* Andrew Shaw and Patrick Sharp picked up the assists on Kane’s goal. Sharp has 4-5—9 this postseason (9 GP), including 2-4—6 during a four-game point streak. He also has 7-8—15 in 14 career playoff games vs. MIN.

* The Blackhawks are win one shy of advancing to the Western Conference Final for the fifth time in the past seven seasons.
