Los Angeles improved to 21-7-4 on the season, including points in 16 of its past 17 contests (12-1-4). Their 46 points are the most through the first 32 games of a season in franchise history.

* The Kings also improved to 11-3-2 on the road, including a 7-0-2 mark in their last nine games as visitors. Their 24 points through 16 road games are the most in club history.

* Excluding shootouts, the Kings have allowed two or fewer goals in 17 consecutive games, a team record. They haven’t yielded a first-period goal in any of those outings, an NHL record.

* Jones improved to 4-0-0 with a 0.74 goals-against average, .974 save percentage and one shutout in his first four NHL games. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Jones, who made his NHL debut Dec. 3 and has yielded three total goals, is the first goaltender in League history to allow an average of less than one goal per game while winning the first four appearances of his career. The previous such record was held by Ducks goaltender Viktor Fasth, who allowed four total goals in winning his first four NHL games last season (Jan. 26-Feb. 6, 2013).

* Jones extended his shutout streak to 177:16 before allowing a goal to Cody Franson late in the second period. Jonathan Quick holds the club record of 202:11 consecutive scoreless minutes.

* The Kings won their fourth consecutive game at Air Canada Centre and improved to 6-0-1 in Toronto since Jan. 17, 2001.

DUCKS SOAR AT HOME
Corey Perry scored his 21st goal of the season and Jonas Hiller made 23 saves to help the Ducks improve to 12-0-2 at Honda Center, their best home start in franchise history. Anaheim is the only team that has yet to lose a game in regulation at home this season. Since 2005-06, only one other NHL club has played its first 14 home games of a season without suffering a regulation defeat (2008-09 Sharks: 20-0-2).

* The Ducks picked up their fourth consecutive victory and have recorded points in seven straight dating to Nov. 29 (5-0-2). They rank second in the NHL with 49 points this season (22-7-5).

* Perry extended his goal-scoring streak a career-high seven games (8-2—10), the longest such streak in the NHL since Flames forward Curtis Glencross had an equal run during the 2011-12 season (Feb. 27-March 11: 7-3—10).

* Perry also recorded his sixth game-winning goal of the season, tying linemate Ryan Getzlaf for the League lead.

* Perry has 9-3—12 during a nine-game point streak, his longest since a 10-game stretch March 19-26, 2011 (8-2—10).

* Getzlaf assisted on Perry’s goal to extend his official point streak to 13 games (6-10—16), tying Blues forward Alexander Steen for the longest such streak this season (Oct. 17-Nov. 16: 13-5—18).

* Getzlaf also has points in each of his past 15 outings dating to Nov. 6 (10-12—22), but missed three team games in that span. It marks the first time he has posted points in 15 consecutive individual appearances since Dec. 22, 2007-Jan. 23, 2008 (6-16—22 during 15-game streak).

* Getzlaf (16-22—38 in 31 GP) and Perry (21-15—36 in 34 GP) rank third and fifth, respectively, in League scoring this season.

* Alex Grant scored the opening goal, becoming the second defenseman this season to find the back of the net in each of his first two career NHL games (Edmonton’s Taylor Fedun: Nov. 5-7). According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last blueliner to accomplish that feat prior to 2013-14 was San Jose’s Marcus Ragnarsson on Oct. 7-12, 1995.

SEVEN SCORERS POWER BLACKHAWKS
Seven different players scored and Antti Raanta made 28 saves to lead the Blackhawks to their third consecutive victory. Chicago improved to 23-6-5 (51 points), two points ahead of Anaheim for the top spot in the League standings.

* The Blackhawks lead the NHL in goals for (125) and goals per game (3.68) this season. They have scored six or more goals in each of their past three games, the first time they have done so since Jan. 21-24, 1993.

* Five Blackhawks recorded multi-point games: Patrick Sharp (1-2—3), Marian Hossa (0-3—3), Michal Handzus (1-1—2), Kris Versteeg (1-1—2) and Patrick Kane (0-2—2).

* Kane’s second assist marked the 300th of his NHL career. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Kane (Buffalo, N.Y.) is the fourth active U.S.-born player to record 300 NHL assists, joining Scott Gomez (534), Matt Cullen (368) and David Legwand (343).

* Raanta improved to 5-0-1 with a 2.12 goals-against average and .926 save percentage since making his NHL debut Nov. 19. He has allowed exactly two goals in each of his seven career appearances.

* Andrew Shaw scored his 10th goal of the season to extend his (unofficial) point streak to five games (3-2—5), matching his career long. He missed two team games in the middle of the streak (Dec. 5-6).
