KINGS HEAD TO STADIUM SERIES SHOWDOWN ON SIX-GAME WIN STREAK
Playing their final game before Saturday's Coors Light NHL Stadium Series showdown against the Sharks at Levi's Stadium, the Kings recorded their sixth consecutive victory on the strength of a 42-save performance from goaltender Jonathan Quick. The Kings (27-18-12, 66 points), passed the idle Sharks for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. San Jose can reclaim that Wild Card berth in its final game before the outdoor contest tonight at Dallas.

* The Kings have outscored opponents 23-12 over their six-game run, tied with the Predators for the longest active win streak in the League.

* The Kings have earned points in seven consecutive games against the Avalanche (6-0-1) and have not lost to Colorado in regulation since a 3-1 defeat on Jan. 22, 2013.

* Quick, who has made 11 consecutive starts, has posted a 2.00 goals-against average and .928 save percentage over the six-game win streak. He improved to 23-15-10 on the season with a 2.46 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

* Jeff Carter (2-0—2) posted his third multi-goal performance of the season and extended his season-high point streak to five games (4-5—9). The Kings improved to 13-0-0 this season when Carter records a multi-point game.

* The Kings' new-look "That 70s Line" of Carter, Tyler Toffoli (1-1—2) and Dwight King (0-1—1) accounted for three goals and two assists, all in the second period except for Carter's empty-net goal in the final minute of regulation. The three have combined for 13 goals and 13 assists during the winning streak.

* Skating in his 499th career regular-season game, Drew Doughty (0-2—2) posted his fourth multi-assist game of the season. The 24-year-old is set to make his milestone 500th appearance in the 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game at Levi's Stadium on Saturday and pass Lubomir Visnovsky (499) into sole possession of sixth place on the Kings' all-time games list among defensemen.

LIGHTNING GAIN GROUND IN ATLANTIC WITH WIN AT ANAHEIM
The Lightning netted four unanswered goals and outshot the Ducks 20-5 during the second period of a 4-1 win at Anaheim. Combined with the first-place Canadiens' regulation loss at Ottawa and the Red Wings' shootout win at Chicago, the top three Atlantic Division clubs are separated by just four points.

* Tampa Bay has earned points in five of its past six road games (3-1-2).

* Tyler Johnson (1-0—1) tied a career high with his fourth game-winning goal of the season. The Lightning scoring leader ranks eighth League-wide with 22-34—56 in 58 games.

* Steven Stamkos (1-0—1) scored his team-leading 31st goal of the season. Stamkos is tied for third place in the race for the Maurice Richard Trophy as NHL goals leader, six behind leader Alex Ovechkin.

* Ben Bishop stopped all but one of 25 shots he faced to improve to 29-10-3 on the season with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. Bishop, who has won 13 of his last 18 decisions (13-4-1), is tied for fourth place among goaltenders in victories.
