CALLAHAN POWERS LIGHTNING IN RETURN TO MSG
Playing in his first game at Madison Square Garden since a March 5 trade, former Rangers captain Ryan Callahan scored twice – including what proved to be the game-winning goal – to help the Lightning improve to 8-1-1 in their last 10 outings.

* Callahan, who was selected by the Rangers in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft, spent the first eight seasons of his NHL career in New York, totaling 132-122—254 in 450 GP. He served as the team’s captain from 2011-14.

* Callahan recorded his second consecutive multi-point performance, following 1-1—2 Saturday vs. NYI. He now has 4-5—9 in his past six games.

* The Lightning improved to 12-0-0 when Callahan scores (dating to his acquisition at the 2014 Trade Deadline).

* Steven Stamkos posted 1-2—3, including a highlight-reel goal, to stretch his point streak to six games (4-5—9). With 12-10—22 in 19 GP, he now shares the League lead in goals (with Rick Nash and Tyler Seguin) and is tied for third in points (with Phil Kessel and Seguin).

* Valtteri Filppula, Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat each collected two assists.

* The Lightning now have won three of their last four games against the Rangers (dating to Nov. 25, 2013). They also improved to 5-2-1 in their past eight visits to Madison Square Garden (dating to Dec. 23, 2010).

* At 13-4-2 (28 points) overall, Tampa Bay ranks second in the NHL standings, one point behind Atlantic Division foe Montreal (14-4-1, 29 points).
