LIGHTNING EDGE RED WINGS FOR SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN
Steven Stamkos scored twice in regulation and Ryan Callahan (0-2—2) potted the lone goal in the shootout to lead the Lightning to their sixth consecutive victory, their longest winning streak since Jan. 18 – Feb. 1, 2011 (6-0-0).

* Stamkos registered his fourth multi-goal performance of the season. He now has 10 goals in 15 games, one off the League lead shared by Rick Nash and Corey Perry.

* Stamkos also has collected at least one point in five of his past six appearances, totaling 4-4—8 in that span.

* Callahan added his fourth multi-point performance of the season and second in as many nights following 1-2—3, including the game-winning goal, Saturday at CBJ.

* Ben Bishop made 17 saves – and denied all three shootout attempts he faced – to improve to 9-1-1 with a 2.44 goals-against average and .910 save percentage in 12 appearances this season. His nine wins are tied for second in the NHL, one behind League leader Ryan Miller.

* The Lightning recorded their third victory in their last four trips to Joe Louis Arena dating to Nov. 9, 2013; they had just one win in their first 15 visits to Detroit prior to this run (1-13-1).

BONINO, POULIOT HAUNT FORMER TEAMS
A pair of players led their new clubs to wins against their former teams Sunday:

* Nick Bonino (0-1—1) scored the lone goal in the shootout to power the Canucks past the Ducks in his first game against his former team. Bonino was sent to Vancouver in the offseason as part of the trade that saw Ryan Kesler land in Anaheim. Bonino, who played the first five seasons of his NHL career for the Ducks (33-49—82 in 189 GP), leads the Canucks with seven goals this season (16 GP); he registered a career-high 22 goals in 2013-14 (77 GP).

* Playing his first game against the Rangers since signing with Edmonton as a free agent, Benoit Pouliot posted 1-1—2, including the tiebreaking goal midway through the second period, to lift the Oilers to their second consecutive road victory. Pouliot registered a career-high 36 points in 80 regular-season games with New York in 2013-14, his lone campaign in the Big Apple, and added 5-5—10 during the team’s run to the 2014 Stanley Cup Final.

MAPLE LEAFS RALLY TO WIN BATTLE OF ONTARIO
The Maple Leafs rallied from three separate one-goal deficits to defeat the Senators in the 100th regular-season meeting between the clubs.

* At 47-42-11, Toronto still trails the all-time series with 105 points to Ottawa’s 110 (50-40-10). The Maple Leafs, however, have won 10 of their last 12 meetings dating to Feb. 4, 2012.

* Mike Santorelli scored the tiebreaking, shorthanded marker midway through the second period. He now has six game-winning goals in his NHL career (272 GP), four of which have come in his last 62 outings (dating to 2013-14).

* James van Riemsdyk found the back of the net to extend his point streak to five games (2-3—5).

* Eleven Maple Leafs players registered points, led by 1-1—2 from Peter Holland.

* Making up their Oct. 22 game, the Maple Leafs and Senators both skipped their morning skates to gather at the National War Memorial and pay tribute to fallen soldiers. The teams also participated in a special ceremony prior to puck drop.

DEFENSEMEN POWER BLACKHAWKS
Scoreless midway through the first period, the Blackhawks posted a trio of goals – all by defensemen – in a 2:34 span to pick up their second win in their last three outings.

* Trevor van Riemsdyk (first NHL goal), Brent Seabrook and Niklas Hjalmarsson accounted for the three goals. Per Elias, it marks the first time that three Blackhawks defensemen have scored in the same period since Nov. 27, 1992, when Igor Kravchuk, Frantisek Kucera and Steve Smith did so in an 8-1 win at EDM.

* Three Blackhawks defensemen had not scored in the same game since March 16, 2013, when Duncan Keith, Nick Leddy and Johnny Oduya each found the back of the net in an 8-1 victory at DAL.

* Jonathan Toews added 1-1—2 for his fourth multi-point performance of the season. He leads the Blackhawks with six goals and 13 points in 2014-15, including 2-3—5 over his last three outings.

* Corey Crawford matched a season high with 32 saves (also Oct. 9 at DAL) to pick up his fifth win in nine appearances.

* The Blackhawks now have earned at least one point in each of their last seven meetings with the Sharks dating to Feb. 5, 2013 (5-0-2).
