STAMKOS SHINES AS TAMPA TAKES 2022 STADIUM SERIES IN MUSIC CITY
Steven Stamkos (1-2—3) factored on all three Lightning goals, which included scoring the game winner at 11:31 of the third period, as Tampa Bay edged Nashville to triumph in the 2022 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series before a sellout crowd of 68,619 at Nissan Stadium. Only six regular-season outdoor NHL games have featured a larger attendance.
* Stamkos (25-34—59 in 50 GP), already the franchise’s all-time leader for three-point outings (83) and game winners (68), reached 25 tallies for the 11th time in his NHL career and surpassed Martin St. Louis (10) for sole possession of the most 25-goal seasons in club history.
* Stamkos became the third NHL player to factor on each of a franchise’s first three all-time outdoor game goals, joining Steve Staios with Edmonton (2003 HC) and Martin Havlat with Chicago (2009 WC).

MARNER NETS FOUR GOALS, SIX POINTS IN 17-GOAL THRILLER
After Mitchell Marner (4-2—6) and the Maple Leafs took a 7-2 lead into the third period, the Red Wings scored five times in a span of 7:10 – which featured coming within one goal from erasing a five-goal deficit – before Toronto responded with three goals of its own in a thrilling frame that included eight combined tallies.
* Toronto concluded the contest with 10 goals, marking the club’s highest single-game total in 15 years when the Maple Leafs secured a 10-2 win over the Bruins on Jan. 4, 2007.
* Marner (4-2—6) joined Florida’s Mason Marchment (2-4—6 on Jan. 31) as the second player this season to record a six-point outing and became the first Maple Leafs skater to do so since Mats Sundin on April 11, 2006. Only two players in franchise history have recorded more points in a game: Darryl Sittler (6-4—10 on Feb. 7, 1976 & 3-4—7 on Oct. 14, 1978) and Corb Denneny (6-1—7 on Jan. 26, 1921).
* Marner, who set a career high for goals and points in a game, scored a natural hat trick in a span of 8:46 in the second period – his first career three-goal outing – and became the fifth different Maple Leafs player in the past 25 years to score three times in a single frame.
* Michael Bunting (1-4—5), who scored a hat trick in Toronto's last meeting against Detroit on Jan. 29, became the ninth rookie in franchise history to record a five-point game and the first in the NHL expansion era (1967-68). The last Maple Leafs player to do so was Kent Douglas on Dec. 15, 1962 (1-4—5).
