RANGERS CLAIM OT REDEMPTION
Martin St. Louis scored 6:02 into overtime and Henrik Lundqvist made 27 saves to give the New York Rangers a 3-2 victory and a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Final.
* St. Louis’ goal was his first overtime winner in the playoffs since scoring in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2004 as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The goal was the 10th playoff game-winner of his career, tying him with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa for seventh-most among active players.
* St. Louis also extended his point streak to six games (4-3—7), tying a career-high in the postseason. St. Louis (6-7—13) leads the Rangers in points, and is tied with Carl Hagelin for the team goal scoring lead.
