THREE HARD LAPS

* Jonathan Huberdeau collected a career-high four assists while skating in his 500th NHL game and became the 10th player to register 40 points in 2019-20.

* David Perron netted the League’s 30th hat trick of the season to help Jordan Binnington become the sixth goaltender in NHL history to earn 40 career wins prior to his 60th game.

* Connor McDavid registered his 17th multi-point game of the season. He has recorded a League-best 127 multi-point games since entering the NHL in 2015-16.

HUBERDEAU’S CAREER NIGHT PROPELS PANTHERS OUTBURST
Jonathan Huberdeau (0-4—4) collected a career-high four assists to reach the 40-point mark and Noel Acciari scored his first career hat trick as the Panthers tallied five goals in a period for the 10th time in franchise history.

* Huberdeau, the Panthers all-time leader in assists, also recorded his 400th career point while skating in his 500th NHL game (136-264—400). The third overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft became the 10th member of his draft class to play 500 NHL games. His career totals are the most among those players at the time of their milestone contest - besting first-overall pick Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (133-219—352 in 500 GP w/ EDM).

* Huberdeau (11-30—41 in 33 GP) became the 10th player to reach the 40-point mark in 2019-20, requiring the second fewest games in his career to hit the benchmark (32 GP in 2018-19). Only one other player in Panthers history accomplished the feat in fewer contests than Huberdeau: Pavel Bure (29 GP in 1999-00).

* Teammate Aleksander Barkov (0-4—4 on Oct. 24 at CGY) is the only other Panthers player to collect four assists in a game this season. The Panthers captain also stands as the only player in team history to post multiple four-assist outings with the franchise.

PERRON, BINNINGTON GUIDE BLUES TO ANOTHER COMEBACK WIN
David Perron (3-0—3) netted his fifth career hat trick and Jordan Binnington turned aside 26 shots as the Western Conference-leading Blues (21-8-6, 48 points) collected their third straight victory and League-leading 13th comeback win of the season.

* Binnington, who posted a 24-5-1 mark last season (1.89 GAA, .927 SV% and 5 SO), improved to 16-6-4 in 2019-20. He became the sixth goaltender in NHL history to earn his 40th NHL win prior to his 60th career contest.

* Monday marked the third consecutive night the NHL has featured at least one hat trick, after Chicago’s Patrick Kane (Dec. 15 vs. MIN) and Ottawa’s Anthony Duclair (Dec.14 vs. CBJ) did so over the weekend. The NHL last featured three consecutive days with a hat trick last season, from March 25-27, 2019.

* Florida’s Noel Acciari and St. Louis’s Perron netted the NHL’s 29th and 30th three-goal performances of the season. The Blues became the 20th different team to feature at least one player with a hat trick in 2019-20 - the Bruins and Oilers pace all clubs with three apiece.

PANARIN EXTENDS STREAK WITH 20TH GOAL
Artemi Panarin (1-0—1) scored his 20th goal of the season to extend his goal streak to five games dating to Dec. 8 (7-2—9 in 5 GP) - one shy of the NHL's longest of 2019-20 (Patrick Kane: 7-6—13 in 6 GP from Nov. 7-17).

* Panarin’s tally came in his 33rd contest with his new club (20-23—43). Only four players skating in their first year with the Rangers have required fewer games to reach the mark: Marian Gaborik (25 GP in 2009-10), Don Murdoch (26 GP in 1976-77), Brendan Shanahan (27 GP in 2006-07) and Bill Cook (32 GP in 1926-27).

* The 28-year-old forward became the third Rangers player in the last decade to record a goal streak of five or more contests in his first season with the franchise. The others: Rick Nash (5 GP in 2012-13) and Petr Prucha (6 GP in 2005-06). The longest such run in franchise history is held by Mike Gartner, who posted a seven-game run in 1989-90 (8-2—10).

MORE FROM A MONDAY

* Connor McDavid assisted on both Oilers goals to register his 17th multi-point game of the season and move within one point of 60 in 2019-20 (20-39—59 in 36 GP). The Oilers captain has notched a League-best 127 multi-point games since entering the NHL in 2015-16 - seven more than the next closest player (Nikita Kucherov: 120 w/ TBL).

* The defensive trio of Roman Josi (2-1—3), Ryan Ellis (1-1—2) and Mattias Ekholm (1-0—1) led the offense for the Predators, accounting for four of Nashville’s five goals. Monday marked the third time in franchise history that four or more goals in a game were scored by defensemen. The others: Oct. 22, 2009 (5) and Nov. 10, 2015 (4).

* Joonas Korpisalo (30 saves) posted his second shutout of the season to help the Blue Jackets extend their point streak to four contests (2-0-2). The 25-year-old netminder established a career-high for saves in a shutout performance.

PREVIEW OF TODAY’S ACTION

COYOTES, GOLDEN KNIGHTS JOCKEY FOR POSITION IN TIGHT DIVISION RACE
Three of the top four teams in the Pacific Division are in action on Tuesday when the Coyotes (19-12-4, 42 points) and the Golden Knights (18-13-5, 41 points) face the Sharks and Wild, respectively. The top four teams in the Pacific Division are all separated by just two standings points.

* The Coyotes, who sit atop the Pacific Division standings and acquired former Hart Trophy winner Taylor Hall in a trade with the Devils on Monday, will look to earn their 20th win of the season in their 36th game of 2019-20. The franchise has reached the 20-win mark in 36 or fewer games just three times: 1998-99 (30 GP), 2009-10 (34 GP) and 1999-00 (35 GP).

* The Golden Knights are paced offensively by reigning "NHL First Star of the Week" Max Pacioretty, who enters the contest on a four-game goal streak (5-3—8 in 4 GP). Two players are tied for the longest goal streak in Golden Knights history – both of which occurred in Vegas’ inaugural season: William Karlsson (5 GP from Nov. 16-25, 2017) and Erik Haula (5 GP from Jan. 23 – Feb. 2, 2018).

LAMORIELLO TO REACH 2,500-GAME MILESTONE
Lou Lamoriello is set to serve his 2,500th career regular-season game as an NHL general manager when the Islanders host the Predators at NYCB Live/Nassau Coliseum. Only two general managers in NHL history have served as many regular-season contests, including Lamoriello’s counterpart tonight: David Poile (2,818 GP) and Glen Sather (2,700 GP).

* Lamoriello, who worked for the Devils (Sept. 10, 1987 – May 4, 2015) and Maple Leafs (July 23, 2015 – April 30, 2018) before officially beginning his tenure with the Islanders on June 5, 2018, owns the third-most regular-season wins among general managers in NHL history.

* The 77-year-old native of Johnston, R.I. recorded 1,093 of his career regular-season wins with New Jersey – the second-most by a general manager with one NHL franchise behind longtime Boston executive Harry Sinden (1,170).
