* Rielly leads all defensemen in goals and points this season (9-16—25 in 20 GP). He became the fourth different defenseman in franchise history to record at least 25 points through 20 team games in a season, joining Harry Cameron in 1917-18 (17-10—27) and 1921-22 (11-15—26), Babe Prattin 1943-44 (10-15—25) and Bryan McCabe in 2005-06 (8-19—27).

PETERSEN RECORDS FIRST CAREER NHL WIN
Kings goaltender Calvin Petersen made 34 saves through 65 minutes and turned aside two shootout attempts to win the first start of his NHL career (2 GP). Petersen, a fifth-round pick by the Sabres in the 2013 NHL Draft (129th overall), signed with the Kings on July 1, 2017. SNEAK PEEK AT SATURDAY’S ACTION

OFFSEASON ACQUISITIONS HOFFMAN, DOMI LOOK TO EXTEND POINT STREAKS

Panthers forward Mike Hoffman (7-9—16 in 14 GP) and Canadiens forward Max Domi (5-7—12 in 8 GP) each look to extend their point streak on Saturday:

* Hoffman set a Panthers franchise record Thursday by notching a point in a 14th consecutive game. A point Saturday would make him the first player to record a point streak of at least 15 games in his first season with a club since 2005-06, when Dany Heatley (17-21—38) had a 22-game run with the Senators.

* Only 10 different players in NHL history have had a point streak of at least 15 games during their first season with a franchise, with Wayne Gretzkythe only one to do so multiple times. Gretzky had streaks of 23 games and 16 games in 1988-89 with the Kings, and a 15-game run in 1996-97 with the Rangers.

* Domi leads the Canadiens with 10-13—23 in his first 19 games with the club, already exceeding his goal total from both 2016-17 (9 G in 59 GP) and 2017-18 (9 G in 82 GP) with the Coyotes. One point Saturday would make Domi the highest-scoring player through his first 20 games in aCanadiens uniform since 1919-20.

* Only nine players in franchise history have recorded a point streak of at least nine games during their first campaign with the club, most recently achieved by Pierre Turgeon in 1994-95 (11-9—20 in 13 GP).
