* Elias says that the last time the Canadiens won a game in which they trailed by three or more goals was on Nov. 1, 2008, when they rallied from a 4-1 deficit after 40 minutes to defeat the Islanders 5-4 in regulation.

* Elias also says that prior to Desharnais, the last time a Canadiens player scored a tying goal at 19:59 of the third period was on Oct. 30, 1982, when Pierre Mondou did so in an eventual 4-4 tie versus the Bruins. The last time any NHL player scored such a goal was on Nov. 25, 2013, when Penguins captain Sidney Crosby did so in an eventual 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

* Carey Price made 30 saves in his first start since the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. He improved to 27-17-5 with a 2.36 goals-against average, .924 save percentage and four shutouts in 49 appearances this season.

* P.K. Subban posted his third three-assist game of the season, including a helper on each of Montreal’s three goals in the final 3:22 of regulation.

BRUINS MAKE IT EIGHT STRAIGHT
Jarome Iginla (2-0—2) recorded his fourth multi-goal game of the season and Chad Johnson made 29 saves to lead the Bruins to their eighth consecutive victory, their longest winning streak since Nov. 1-23, 2011 (10-0-0).

* The Bruins improved to 16-2-3 in their last 21 games, including an 11-1-2 mark in their past 14. They also improved to 9-2-0 in their last 11 games at TD Garden, including four consecutive victories.

* The line of Iginla, David Krejci (0-3—3) and Milan Lucic (1-2—3) combined for eight points. The trio has compiled 47 points over the team’s past 14 games (Iginla: 8-9—17, Krejci: 5-9—14, Lucic: 6-10—16).

* Iginla scored the winning goal for the second consecutive game and leads the Bruins with six game-winners this season, his most in one campaign since 2010-11 (also six).

* Iginla and Chris Kelly scored 13 seconds apart in the third period. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the fastest two goals by the Bruins since Nov. 5, 2011, when Lucic and Tyler Seguin tallied eight seconds apart in a 7-0 victory over the Maple Leafs.

* Johnson improved to 8-0-0 with a 1.40 goals-against average, .944 save percentage and one shutout in nine appearances this season at TD Garden.

BLUES STAY HOT . . .
Patrik Berglund (2-0—2) recorded his third multi-goal game of the season, including the game-winner, to power the League-leading Blues to their seventh victory in their last eight games (7-0-1).

* With the win, the Blues swept their season series against the Predators for the first time in franchise history (5-0-0). The last and only other time the Blues completed a series sweep of five or more games was in 1969-70, when they went 8-0-0 versus the Kings.

* The Blues improved to 19-0-2 versus the Central Division this season. They also improved to 37-1-5 when scoring first and 36-1-3 when posting at least three goals.

* Alexander Steen reached the 30-goal mark for the first time in his NHL career. He and his father Thomas are just the third father-son duo to each record 30 goals in an NHL season, joining the Hulls (Bobby and Brett) and Hodges (Ken and Ken Jr.).

* Ryan Miller made 30 saves to improve to 6-0-1 with a 1.70 goals-against average, .932 save percentage and one shutout in seven games since joining the Blues.

* Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 21st goal of the season to extend his point streak to five games (2-4—6).

. . . DUCKS KEEP PACE
Patrick Maroon scored the tiebreaking goal at 12:12 of the second period and Frederik Andersen made 37 saves to lead the Ducks to their third consecutive victory over the rival Kings and first at STAPLES Center since April 9, 2011.

* With the win, the Ducks (45-16-7, 97 points) remained two points behind the Blues (46-14-7, 99 points) for the top spot in the Western Conference and NHL standings.

* Andersen improved to 16-4-0 with a 2.22 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 22 appearances this season.

FLYERS WIN FIRST HALF OF HOME-AND-HOME
Steve Mason (25 saves) recorded his 23rd career shutout and fourth of the season to backstop the Flyers over the Penguins the first half of a back-to-back, home-and-home series.

* The Flyers posted their first regular-season shutout over the Penguins since April 6, 2008 (Martin Biron: 20 saves) and just their fourth in the last 31 years.

* The Flyers improved to 27-12-3 when Claude Giroux (0-2—2) records at least one point this season. In fact, Giroux has picked up at least one point in each of the team’s past 11 wins (8-14—22).

* Matt Read (2-0—2) posted his fourth multi-goal game of the season, including his third shorthanded tally (59 GP). He had two shorthanded goals in 121 career games entering 2013-14.

BISHOP SETS LIGHTNING RECORD
Ben Bishop (23 saves) posted his eighth career shutout and fifth of the season to lead the Lightning to their second consecutive victory and fourth straight game with at least one point (2-0-2).

* Bishop improved to 31-11-6 with a 2.10 goals-against average and .929 save percentage in 52 appearances this season. With the victory, he set a Lightning record for most wins in a single season, surpassing Nikolai Khabibulin’s old mark of 30 in 65 games in 2002-03.

* B.J. Crombeen scored his first game-winning goal since Jan. 9, 2010.

* Ondrej Palat collected an assist to extend his point streak to four games (3-4—7). He ranks second among rookies in assists (27) and points (44) in 67 games this season.

BLUE JACKETS OVERCOME WILD IN SHOOTOUT
Trailing 2-0 in the shootout, the Blue Jackets scored on each of their next three attempts to pick up their sixth victory in their last eight games (6-1-1).

* With the win, the Blue Jackets (35-26-6, 76 points) leapfrogged the idle Rangers (36-28-4, 76 points) for second place in the Metropolitan Division.

* Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves – and denied 2-of-4 shootout attempts – to improve to 6-1-1 with a 1.95 goals-against average, .934 save percentage and one shutout in his last eight appearances.

LOOSE PUCKS
Despite their shootout loss, the Wild set a franchise record for points through 67 games (35-22-10, 80 points). Their previous record was 79, set in 2006-07 (36-24-7) and accomplished again in 2007-08 (37-25-5) . . .
