MARNER CONTINUES TREND OF FIVE-POINT PERFORMANCES
The line of Mitch Marner (2-3—5), Patrick Marleau (1-2—3) and Nazem Kadri (1-1—2) combined for 4-6—10 to power the Maple Leafs (33-19-5, 71 points) to their fourth straight win at Air Canada Centre.

* Marner became the first Maple Leafs player to notch at least five points in a game since Tomas Kaberle collected 1-4—5 on Oct. 26, 2009 at ANA. At 20 years, 281 days, Marner became the fifth-youngest player in franchise history to record at least five points in a game.

* Marner’s performance marked the second straight day and third time this week that a player recorded five points in a game, with each instance achieved by a player age 21 or younger. Oilers captain Connor McDavid, 21, tallied 4-1—5 on Monday and Islanders rookie MathewBarzal, 20, tallied 0-5—5 on Friday (his third five-point game of the season).

* The five instances of a player age 21 or younger recording 5+ points in a game in 2017-18 are the most since 1992-93 when Pavel Bure, Mike Ricci, Robert Reichel, Michael Nylander and Owen Nolan each had one such performance.

* Overall, there have been 14 instances of a player recording five points in a game this season, the most since 2009-10 when there were 17.

DUBNYK POSTS 44-SAVE SHUTOUT AS WILD EXTEND FRANCHISE-RECORD STREAK
Devan Dubnyk made 44 saves to record his fourth shutout of the season and help the Wild (30-19-6, 66 points) extend their franchise-record home point streak to 12 games (9-0-3).

* Minnesota, one of six clubs to record a home point streak of at least 10 contests in 2017-18, matched Vegas for the longest such stretch this season.

* Dubnyk posted the second 40+ save shutout of his career – the other came earlier this season on Nov. 9 vs. MTL – and finished four stops shy of matching the franchise record for most saves in a shutout performance. Niklas Backstrom has the only other 40+ save shutouts in Wild history, including a benchmark 48-save outing on Feb. 19, 2012.

* Dubnyk recorded his 28th career shutout and 19th with the Wild – second in franchise history behind Backstrom (28). Dubnyk sits tied with Boston’s Tuukka Rask for the most shutouts since the start of the 2015-16 season (14).

LIGHTNING RETIRE LECAVALIER’S NO. 4, PAD LEAGUE LEAD
After former captain Vincent Lecavalier had his No. 4 raised to the rafters at AMALIE Arena, current captain Steven Stamkostallied 1-1—2 to help the League-leading Lightning (38-14-3, 79 points) pick up their fourth win in five contests. Lecavalier, the franchise leader in goals (383) and games played (1,037), joined Martin St. Louis (No. 26) as the only players to have their number retired by the Lightning.

* Andrei Vasilevskiy recorded a season-high 44 saves – including a behind-the-back highlight-reel save – en route to his League-best 33 win of 2017-18 (seven shy of the single-season franchise record).

SHARKS SURVIVE 10-GOAL PACIFIC-DIVISION CLASH
The Sharks (29-18-8, 66 points) surrendered a 3-0 lead, but captain Joe Pavelski collected a season-high four points (2-2—4) to help San Jose snap a three-game losing streak at SAP Center (0-2-1).

* Pavelski, who sits third in team scoring with 14-28—42 in 55 GP and has lead San Jose in goals in each of the last four seasons, netted his second two-goal game of the season and second in as many contests (also: Feb. 8 vs. VGK).

* Defenseman Joakim Ryan (2-0—2), a seventh-round pick (198th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft, scored the first two goals of his NHL career, including the go-ahead goal with 2:27 remaining in regulation. Ryan became the seventh rookie defenseman in franchise history to score two goals in a game and first since Jason Demers (Jan. 30, 2010 vs. MIN).

METROPOLITAN DIVISION CLUBS KEEP PACE WITH CRUCIAL VICTORIES

The Flyers (27-19-9, 63 points), Hurricanes (26-21-9, 61 points) and Blue Jackets (28-23-4, 60 points) all collected crucial victories to keep pace in an air-tight Metropolitan Division, where the top seven teams are separated by only nine points.

* Nolan Patrick netted the decisive marker in the seventh round of the shootout – after MichalNeuvirth entered to face the Coyotes’ final five attempts in relief of an injured Brian Elliott – to lift the Flyers into third place in the Metropolitan Division. Neuvirth became the first goaltender to enter a game during the shootout and win. A goaltender has entered a game for the first time during a shootout on five other occasions, with his team losing each time (last: Jacob Markstrom w/ VAN on Dec. 20, 2015).

* Brock McGinn scored twice and Cam Ward recorded 29 saves to guide the Hurricanes to victory and propel them past the idle Islanders (27-23-6, 60 points) into the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

* Artemi Panarin (1-1—2), Oliver Bjorkstrand (1-1—2), Seth Jones (0-2—2) and Boone Jenner (0-2—2) each collected two points as the Blue Jackets scored at least six goals in a game for the third time this season to snap a five-game skid (0-4-1).

SABRES SNAP TUUKKA RASK’S IMPRESSIVE RUN

Four different Sabres scored as Buffalo skated to victory in Boston, halting Tuukka Rask’s run of consecutive decisions with at least one point at 21. Rask, who suffered his first regulation loss since Nov. 26, became the 11th different goaltender in NHL history to earn at least one point in 21+ consecutive decisions and fourth to do so with the Bruins.
