The NHL has seen a 0.2% increase in average home attendance this season through Sunday, as games are averaging 17,123 fans, up from 17,086 over the same period last season. The Blackhawks continue to lead all teams with a 21,356 average at United Center, up 0.4% from 21,264 last season, despite missing the playoffs in ’18-19 for the second consecutive year. The Blues, following their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, are averaging 18,096 fans at Enterprise Center, a 7.3% increase. While their averages are still in the bottom 10 of the league, the Islanders (+11.6%) and Hurricanes (+22.4%) are the only two teams experiencing double-digit increases thus far, with the latter seeing the largest percent increase in the league, following their run to the Eastern Conference Final last season. The Islanders have the league's second smallest average attendance (12,202), with games split between Barclays Center (5) and the NYCB Live Nassau Coliseum (11).
