The Blackhawks finished off yet another season at the top of the NHL standings, and while it may seem that the good times will just continue to keep rolling, there is some cause for hesitation particularly given their current group of young players.
Early projection models aren’t kind to the Blackhawks. They have one of the oldest rosters in the NHL, and that’s after Marian Hossa’s retirement. Their top U25 core piece is Brandon Saad, and yes somehow that is true for a guy on his second tour of an organization. It’s likely John Hayden, Vince Hinostroz and Gustav Forsling all start in the AHL.
