from Dan Rosen of NHL.com,
There are 201 games remaining in the 2014-15 NHL regular season and the only race remotely close to being decided is the one for first place in the Pacific Division. The Anaheim Ducks have an 11-point lead....
Here are 15 important questions heading into the homestretch of the season, with some educated guesswork for the answers:
1. WHO WILL WIN THE PRESIDENTS' TROPHY?
There are four teams tied with 93 points, but the New York Rangers have the lead because of their games played (67) and regulation/overtime victories (40). They have at least two games in hand and at least three more wins than the Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks and Nashville Predators.
The Ducks and Predators have been the two teams front and center in this race, but there are now nine teams within five points of each other.
Best guess: New York Rangers
The Rangers the most games remaining (15) of any team. They have eight games left at Madison Square Garden, where they're 21-7-5 this season. They play eight games against teams that aren't in a playoff position entering play Sunday.
The St. Louis Blues (91 points) have the next most games remaining (14) of the teams within three points of first, but they play eight on the road and have to face the Chicago Blackhawks two times as well as the Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Minnesota Wild.
