Anson Carter's season makes a great story, but Anson Carter's film production company isn't interested. The plot just feels too good. There's this guy who visits in quick succession New York, Washington and Los Angeles, which is great if you're a tourist from Tokyo with five days to see the United States, but isn't so good for a veteran right-winger trying to find a National Hockey League home. Dude gets hurt, has a miserable season and is written off like wooden sticks by many people in hockey.
