Goals Needed In Montreal

12/18/2015 at 8:39am EST

from Mike Boone of Hockey Inside/Out,

They’re not scoring.

It’s that simple.

In Carey Price’s absence, the goaltending and overall team defence have not been issues.

The Canadiens have not allowed more than three goals since a 6-1 loss to Colorado on Nov. 14 – a game in which they outshot the visiting Avalanche 40-24.

In the third week of November, the Canadiens swept a home-and-home with the Islanders by scores of 5-3 and 4-2. In their next start, they pumped five past Henrik Lundqvist.

in 10 games since, the Canadiens have scored three goals twice, two goals five times and a single late goal against San Jose before Quick hung the goose egg on them.
