from George Richards of the Miami Herald,
Gerard Gallant didn’t mince words when talking about the Panthers’ performance this past weekend.
“We took it on the chin,” he said, adding “no one was any good.”
Later, Gallant said “our team was pathetic the last couple of games.”
The Panthers sure didn’t look like one of the top teams in hockey as they reverted to their old-school, last-place roots.
Florida looked slow and uninterested in the first period of both a 5-3 loss to St. Louis on Friday, when it surrendered three goals and again in Saturday’s 5-0 debacle against Nashville in which the Predators took a 2-0 lead into the first break.
“We were sound asleep,” Gallant said.
