Flyers Have Problems

On the ice, the Devils made the Flyers look slow and clueless. On the bench and in the locker room, the Flyers made themselves look dysfunctional and panicked. With the playoffs about to begin this weekend, that is a reason for real concern. Peter Forsberg came to North Jersey expecting to play. After pregame warm-ups, he decided his left groin was bothering him too much. This was not a case of the superstar center being overly cautious. Asked if he would have played in a playoff game, Forsberg indicated he would not.
