from Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun,
Don't for a minute think that Anaheim is going to trade Perry at next month's deadline, and that his new team will lock him up with a long-term contract. The Ducks can win it all this season -- unless they deal Perry.
Of course, nobody knows for sure what Perry is thinking other than Perry. But it looks very much like he's not going to stay in Anaheim, and if he has any thought of returning to Ontario, wouldn't he pick the Senators over the Toronto Maple Leafs?
Sure, the Buds are improving. Maybe they were his favourite team as a kid. But here, he'll line up with one of the best playmaking centres in the NHL, and he'll be on the same team as the one of the most offensively dynamic defencemen in league history.
Does he want to take passes from Tyler Bozak and Jake Gardiner -- presuming the latter is one day set free to rejoin the Leafs -- or Jason Spezza and Erik Karlsson?
