Chicago Blackhawks defeat Boston in triple overtime, take Game 1 of Stanley Cup Final

06/13/2013 at 1:01am EDT

Go figure. At 11:59 PM Central Daylight Time, David Bolland AND Andrew Shaw (cue the post-game F-bomb, almost as scary as Don Cherry talking about popping a "Bennie" a long long time ago and pronouncing "Lucic" correctly) tipped a Michal Rozsival shot to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 4-3 triple overtime victory over the Boston Bruins in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Stellar game.

Now we'll have to find out whether the Bruins can rebound from Nathan Horton's injury (shoulder? groin? cramps?) and the exhaustion that is playing two games and losing them when the series resumes on Saturday.
