11/16/2005 at 12:58pm EST
from Bob McKenzie of TSN,
It hasn't taken long for the after-shock of the Sergei Fedorov trade to hit the Columbus Blue Jackets. How, or precisely when, he departs remains to be seen.

Sources tell Sportsnet veteran forward Todd Marchant will be placed on waivers at noon (ET) today in an effort to shed some of the salary the club absorbed in the Fedorov deal.
