Thoughts on the NHL Awards. I will keep my thoughts to just the awards. You saw the show, it needs no comment. Way to go Doughty for the best defenceman. Finally a real defenceman wins, not an offensive defenceman like the previous winners. Doughty scores, hits, fights and blocks shots, the way a defenceman should. Now I will have to work next year on Shea Weber, another beauty.

3 Europeans up for the Lady Byng, that’s the way it should be. Lady Byng would be proud. If a Canadian wins it, he’s kidded all year….
