from Elliott Teaford of the OC Register,
Coach Randy Carlyle made a bold statement, asking for the seemingly impossible from the injury-depleted and under-performing Ducks. He said he would like to hold the opposition to one or two goals in order to become a more competitive team.
The offense cannot carry the Ducks, so the defense must.
“That’s the reality of it,” Carlyle said. “Where we are set up with our group right now and the personnel we have in place, we have to win the 1-0 game or the 2-1 game. Simple as that. The other side of it, the offense, that’s going to be a bonus for us.”
