A Bad Night In Montreal

With just over six minutes left in the third period Tuesday night at the Bell Centre, a fan wearing a Canadiens sweater with Lafleur and No. 10 on the back was spotted leaving the lower-level stands.

It was a fitting image on this night.

That fan will be happy he didn’t have to watch the Bruins score the final goal in an 8-1 romp over the Canadiens.

If Montreal fans thought it couldn’t get worse after the Canadiens blew 4-0 and 5-3 leads in Saturday night’s 6-5 loss to the New York Rangers at the Bell Centre, think again.

This was The Embarrassment, Part 2.

Something is very wrong with this Canadiens team, which is now winless in its last five games (0-3-2) and looks like it might have quit on coach Claude Julien.

“It’s not easy to explain,” Julien said after this loss.
