05/18/2022 at 10:09pm EDT

The NHL draft lottery is to take place on May 10, 2022 and the 60th NHL draft will take place on July 7 - 8, 2022 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The playoffs are being played right now and the last game will be either before or on June 30, 2022.

Many top prospects will be looking to make their name in this year’s NHL draft. The NHL talent scouting plays an important role in determining the final picks and ranking them based on their performances. These performances are a combination of many stats, like assists, goals, defense, transition, etc.

The draft will come with a lot of excitement, but it won’t end there. NHL betting will definitely come in the mix, provided teams pick the right players and form a winning combination.

Top NHL Prospects for 2022

Shane Wright

Wright is probably the most desirable package any team would love to have. He remains one of the top picks and has proven with his performances over time. His ability to absorb pressure and tackle opponents, move pucks, and keep possession is enough proof of him being the top pick this season.

Wright is a powerful offensive player, with a great sense of shooting and thinking head on his shoulders. In the current season, he has 84 points in 58 games, with eight power-play goals and one shorthanded goal.

Logan Cooley

Cooley is a speedster and an impactful player. His skills, along with agility, make him an exciting prospect to watch this season. Due to his pace, whenever he is on the ice, he threatens the opposition with scoring.

Cooley is a great player with the puck and is looking to score every time. An all-rounder with an offensive mindset, Cooley could potentially be one of the best picks this season. He has scored 64 points in 43 games this season, with six power-play goals and three shorthanded goals.

Matt Savoie

Savoie is a sheer force who thinks and makes the play simultaneously. Whenever he steps into the ring, he is in charge. His offensive play is far better than his defense, which might become a problem in upcoming seasons.

However, Savoie’s competitiveness is unmatched, wanting to produce a goal whenever he gets the puck. This season, he has scored 84 points in 61 games, with 12 power-play goals.

Brad Lambert

Lambert brings raw pace and skills to the game. He’s efficient and always looking to do more in a little time. With the way he transports the puck offensively with much success, it’s inevitable he’ll achieve greater heights. His conversion rate might be on the lower side, but that’s a work in progress and we expect him to improve with every season.

Connor Geekie

One of the reliable players on the roster. Coaches can depend on Geekie’s puck management and gameplay skills. He can handle pressure situations well and has an incredible vision of playmaking. Best of all, he’s yet to perform up to his potential. Geekie adaptability is also one of the finest and can play in any style required. This season, he has scored 65 points in 59 games, with one power-play goal.
