As much of tool as Weber is, the guy lost the puck and was looking back to find it when Weber hit him. Strictly speaking…not a penalty.
However, the long since forgotten penalty called “charging” really needs to be reevaluated and enforced much more than it is now. It used to be you could only take a couple strides before hitting a guy…....however, that was back when guys were 5’8” - 5’10” weighing 175 lbs. on average..and they didn’t skate nearly as fast. Guys are easily on average over 6ft. and weigh 200lbs. ...plus they skate much faster. So even if Weber is gliding into the guy after several big strides….well…you see the result.
