Team USA At The World Championship

The 2019 International Ice Hockey Federation Men's World Championship will be held in Kosice & Bratislava, Slovakia, from May 10-26, 2019.

Team USA enters the 2019 competition after earning bronze last May in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The bronze medal win gave the U.S. its third bronze medal (2013, 2015, 2018) and fourth top-four finish in the last six IIHF Men's World Championships, a feat the country has not accomplished since medaling in three of the five tournaments it competed in from 1939-1950.

All of Team USA's preliminary round games will be played at Steel Arena in Kosice, Slovakia, as the U.S. competes in Group A alongside Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain and Slovakia.The U.S. will open the competition against host Slovakia on Friday, May 10 at 2:15 p.m. ET.
