Boone Jenner Out 1-2 Months With A Stress Fracture To His Back

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Boone Jenner on Injured Reserve and recalled center Sean Collins from the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Jenner, 21, has been diagnosed with a stress fracture of his back and is expected to miss one to two months. He has posted six goals and six assists for 12 points and 10 penalty minutes in 20 games with the Blue Jackets this season, including 5-1-6 in his last eight contests. The Dorchester, Ontario native was the club’s first pick, 37th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft and has registered 22-19-41 and 41 penalty minutes in 92 career NHL games, including 16-13-29 and 45 penalty minutes in 72 games as a rookie a year ago.
