I’m going to leave the tenth team up to you guys. Tell me who it should be and then we’ll kick off the second attempt at this evolution on Monday. Some of you may recall, and I think this has only been brought up about 91 times the last ten months or so, that we began this process last summer…only to see it eventually snuffed out by my own slovenliness and boredom.

What’s to say that won’t happen this year? Nothing really. But I do have a plan. Part of that will be to include rival bloggers of each team, some of whom despise me with a heat so hot that it’s hotter than any heat in hell ever.

Here’s a snippet of the email I intend to send to ten “opposing” bloggers as soon as you guys figure out the final rival: “Good morning. I know you hate me but I was wondering if you’d like to explain why you think your team is the greatest rival of the Greatest Team In All Of Hockey. A couple sentences will suffice if you can milk a few out while overcoming the bitterness and jealousy that hover over you like some disgusting funk. No, seriously, I’m sorry. We’d value your input. Sincerely, Bill.”

I think that will go over very well.

Been moving about the nation the last week or so and that will wrap up this Friday in Boston. Appropriate for us, since that’s the team the Wings will face in the Finals next Spring.

Will try to catch up on some ditties (Drew Sharp, more evidence of an anti-Wing agenda at Puck Daddy, Uncle Mike’s genius and how it will translate to The Twelfth Cup) but you may have to wait until the weekend to experience that kind of effort from me.

A tenth rival. We need one. Get hot on that.
