NEW YORK, N.Y. (June 8, 2009)-VERSUS, the exclusive cable television home of the National Hockey League (NHL), garnered a 2.8 national HH rating and averaged 3,448,431 viewers for its Game 4 telecast of the 2009 Stanley Cup Final on Thursday, June 4, when the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings at Mellon Arena to even the series 2-2. The game, which peaked at a 3.4 HH rating between 10:15 and 10:30 p.m., was the highest-rated and most-watched Stanley Cup Final game on cable since 2002. VERSUS, for the 8:00-10:45 p.m. time period, was the top-rated cable network in the country among all key male demos.

Versus First Round Playoff Coverage

NEW YORK, N.Y. (April 13, 2009)- VERSUS, the network that celebrates real competition and the exclusive cable television home of the National Hockey League (NHL), will kick-off its wall-to-wall coverage of the 2009 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Conference Quarterfinal round beginning Wednesday, April 15. The network will start the night with a special playoffs preview Hockey Central show at 6:30 p.m. ET followed by game one of the series between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7 p.m. ET. At 10 p.m. ET VERSUS will televise the first game in the St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks series. VERSUS will air coverage of all rounds of the playoffs, including games three and four of the Stanley Cup Final. All games in each round will be produced and presented in HD where available.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo./NEW YORK, NY (December 2, 2008) – USA Hockey announced today a three-year partnership with the NHL Network that includes unprecedented coverage of the International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship and coverage of the upcoming Qwest Tour, featuring the 2009-10 U.S. Women’s National Team.
In each of the next three IIHF World Junior Championships, the NHL Network will provide live television coverage of all U.S. games and all games of the medal round - including all quarterfinal and semifinal games, the bronze-medal game and the gold-medal game.

NEW YORK (October 28, 2008) – For die-hard hockey fans there is no such thing as watching too much hockey. Verizon is helping these fans get even more hockey programming by adding NHL Center Ice to the FiOS TV lineup. Also, Verizon will launch the NHL Network in the coming days.
NHL Center Ice is a subscription sports package that includes up to 40 out-of-market NHL games per week and select games from the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. As an added bonus, Verizon will broadcast select NHL Center Ice games in high definition (HD). The price is $169 for the entire season.
